現在ユネスコの資金で改修されているサッシ地区です。マテーラは 1993 年に世界遺産に登録されました。サッソ バリサーノからは、1270 年にプーリアのロマネスク様式で建てられた美しい大聖堂のファサードを眺めることができます。
マドンナ デッレ グラツィエ教会は、マテーラのサッソ カヴェオーソ通りにあります。モンスの司牧訪問からもわかるように、この教会は以前は聖テウスタチオに捧げられていました。 1543年から1544年にかけてのサラセン。入り口は鐘楼で構成されています。聖母子を表すテラコッタの浅浮き彫りが含まれています。内部には、オリジナルのイコノスタシスの近くに位置する印象的なバロック様式の祭壇が特徴です。天井には彫刻が施された 2 つのドームと後陣アーチが見えます。右側の壁には磔刑があり、その下にはフレスコ画があります。 キリストの姿には二人の天使が伴い、その足元には母とヨハネがいます。別の壁には、聖痕を受けるアッシジの聖フランシスコが描かれています。 祭壇の後ろの天井エリアには、装飾的なモチーフが描かれた格間パネルがあります。しかし、対応する壁にはセントルシアの絵が描かれています。
サッソ カヴェオーソの中心部に位置し、美しいグラヴィナ渓谷を眺めることができます。ユニークでエキサイティングなシナリオですが、何よりも歴史が豊富です。
カーサ グロッタ デル カサルヌオーヴォでは、オリジナルの家具や、そこに住んでいた家族が日常生活で使用していた日用品を通して、本物のサッシの家を体験することができます。 一般的に洞窟住居と呼ばれるものは、1950 年代に人口減少が起こる前にサッシが居住されていた時代の一般的な使用品や作品を展示した、実際の民族学コレクション、小さな博物館です。 内部は、1950 年代末に古代地区が過疎化される前に建てられたオリジナルの部屋と家具が再建されたものです。

It was great, very enjoyable, interesting, and educational. The tour felt very short. Matera is spectacular, during the day, in the afternoon, and at sunset.
We spent 2 fantastic hours together with Luca, who told us secrets, anecdotes, and curiosities about ancient and modern Matera. We recommend the guided tour to everyone.

A very enjoyable walk in the company of Luca, who was exceptional in helping us understand and appreciate as much as possible about Matera and the Sassi. I am someone who tends to prefer the "do-it-yourself" approach, but in this case, having a local person who was prepared and capable of telling the story of Matera by going beyond what you see was truly fundamental. Luca guided us along a very well-planned route, explaining to us with clarity and passion many aspects that, by visiting the city on our own, we would have inevitably missed. Absolutely recommended experience.
