市内で最も印象的なパノラマビューを楽しめる場所です。 夜にライトアップされたマテーラは、キリスト降誕のシーンの中にキリスト降誕のシーンが再現されています。
カーサ グロッタ デル カサルヌオーヴォでは、オリジナルの家具や、そこに住んでいた家族が日常生活で使用していた日用品を通して、本物のサッシの家を体験することができます。 一般的に洞窟住居と呼ばれるものは、1950 年代に人口減少が起こる前にサッシが居住されていた時代の一般的な使用品や作品を展示した、実際の民族学コレクション、小さな博物館です。 内部は、1950 年代末に古代地区が過疎化される前に建てられたオリジナルの部屋と家具が再建されたものです。
ここはサッソ カヴェオーソの中心地で、グラヴィーナ渓谷を眺めることができる先史時代の洞窟の前にある岩に掘られた最古のエリアです。
マドンナ・デッレ・グラツィエ教会は、サッソ・カヴェオーソ地区のカーサ・チステルナから数メートルの場所にある、とても小さいながらも魅力的な岩の教会です。 この小さな教会は、宝石のような存在であり、観光客の群れから遠く離れているため、マテーラの見どころの一つに含める価値があります。
マテーラのサッシはマテーラの 2 つの地区、サッソ カヴェオーソとサッソ バリサーノで、ムルジャ マテーラナの岩に掘られた建物と洞窟建築で構成されています。 これらはチヴィタ地区とともにマテーラ市の歴史的中心地を構成しています。 1993年にユネスコの世界遺産に登録されました。

Nice experience in Matera at sunset and the very knowledgeable and friendly guide was wonderful; the hour and a half tour is not tiring
Walking tour with a guide in the Sassi of Matera, with entry to the Rupestrian Church and Casa Castelnuovo with typical environments of cave dwellings.

Our guide Brunella was spectacular. She showed us Matera in a way that only someone who lives there can. It did not feel like a tour that recounted a script made for her but truly a conversation with someone who loves this city!
