明治天皇と昭憲皇太后を祀り、日本の近代化に愛された東京を代表する神社、明治神宮。 そびえ立つ鳥居をくぐり、全国から寄贈された10万本の木々が林立する道を歩く。 本殿では、伝統行事の見学や祈祷、木製の絵馬に願い事を書く。 神道の精神を垣間見るだけでなく、世界でも有数の賑わいを見せる街の中心部で安らぎのひとときを過ごすことができる。
この鳥居は高さ12メートル、幅17.1メートルの木造明神鳥居としては日本最大級である。 門の大きさは圧巻で、神社の神聖さを物語っている。
明治神宮は、明治天皇と昭憲皇后の御霊を祀る、東京を代表する神社です。 1920年創業、賑やかな渋谷エリアにある70ヘクタールの広大な人工林の中にあり、都心ののどかな昔ながらの逃避行空間を提供している。

I had a wonderful experience visiting Meiji Jingu, and a big part of that was thanks to our guide, Hoshi. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained not only the history of the shrine but also many interesting details about Japanese culture, traditions, and Shinto beliefs in a way that was easy to understand and engaging. Throughout the tour, Hoshi was friendly, patient, and always happy to answer questions. His passion for sharing the history and significance of Meiji Jingu made the experience much more meaningful than simply walking around on our own. The pace of the tour was comfortable, the explanations were clear, and I never felt rushed. It was obvious that Hoshi genuinely enjoys what he does and cares about giving visitors a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo. Thank you, Hoshi, for making my visit to Meiji Jingu both enjoyable and unforgettable!.

Isabela was fantastic, one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. She knows all of Japan’s history, she is passionate and transmits her love of Japan into a very interesting and mentally fulfilling tour. The Meiji shrine is beautiful and there are so many activities inside. We really enjoyed it!!!
