We had an amazing private tour to Mt Fuji and the surrounding areas with Live Nippon and our guide, Pradhan. Pradhan was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating, making sure we got to see some beautiful places and experience the area at a relaxed pace. He was also happy to answer all our questions and share interesting information. We would highly recommend Live Nippon
Our tour was excellently planned and our guide was amazing!! Absolutely check traffic expectations. We only got to do two of the five spots we had on the plan and spent 6 hours in the car stuck in traffic. It was a national holiday. Had there not been traffic the tour would have been perfect but this was obviously not the tour operator or guide’s fault.
Well, you take your chances with Mt. Fuji..rain and cloud...never saw the mountain. Having said that, Mirza was an excellent guide and the day was still worthwhile, as we saw temples, gardens, lakes, museums ,etc.
Very comprehensive and enjoyable tour. Our driver Bajwa was very friendly, polite and professional. The vehicle was very comfortable and clean. It was a very wet day but we still had an enjoyable time.
We were visiting Japan over one of their holiday periods. There was also a typhoon which brought heavy rains with it. Thankfully, the company was willing to work with us to reschedule to a different day due to heavy rains from the typhoon on our original scheduled day. We had booked the 8:30 time slot, but our driver, Haroon, messaged the day prior and advised us to go earlier, 7:00 due to the chance of traffic. We compromised on 7:30 so the four of us could get breakfast at the hotel before leaving. What should have been a two hour drive to the area, ended up being 5 hours due to extreme traffic. I’m not sure that leaving at 7:00 would have made much difference. I’ve since read comments where people were picked up at 5:30 AM on the advice of their driver. Maybe that would have made a significant difference. As it turned out, due to heavy crowds and traffic, we only had three brief stops instead of being able to do the full itinerary. Our driver offered to go to the additional stops, but advised us there would be a charge if we went past 10 hours total. We opted to go back to Tokyo. It took 4 hours to get back from the small village at the lake. All in all, the trip was slightly more than 11 1/2 hours. This is no reflection on the driver. He was kind, competent, and patient. He was very good at finding parking and navigating us on foot through huge crowds. He took many pictures of us along the way for which we were grateful. I don’t know if the traffic we encountered was the norm or if it was only because of the holiday. In hindsight, I wish we had done more research. Not sure I’d advise anyone to do this particular tour.

Max was a great tour guide. He communicated well, picked us up on time and got us to the sights ahead of the crowds. In addition to the fan favorites he showed us a relatively hidden gem that was a true surprise and one of the best memories we’ll have from the trip. He was fun and knowledgeable and helped make the day special.
Petteri met our train to do a trip to Mt Fugi and the surrounding areas, unfortunately too much cloud cover to see Mr Fugi, however we visited other areas of interest in lieu. Petteri was a fabulous guide and driver. We chatted the whole trip, he was a very friendly person.
Thanks David for a great tour and seeing as many sites as we did. The Kitaguchi shrine was the best we have seen and the boat tour on the lake Kawaguchi was very scenic. We missed Mt Fuji but still toned out nicely!
This tour shouldn’t be offered during September & other known low visibility times as there was basically zero chance of seeing Mt Fuji resulting in a huge letdown.

Fuji’s visibility is entirely weather-dependent and, unfortunately, can never be guaranteed at any time of the year. While September can have more cloudy and rainy days, we also have many clear days when guests are fortunate enough to enjoy beautiful views of the mountain. Our Mt. Fuji tours are designed to offer an enjoyable experience around the Fuji area even when the mountain itself is hidden, and we’re grateful to have welcomed many happy guests on such days. However, we completely understand that seeing Mt. Fuji was an important part of your expectations, and we’re genuinely sorry that nature didn’t cooperate during your visit. We would love to welcome you back in the future during a period with better visibility and hopefully give you the opportunity to experience the beautiful Mt. Fuji views you were hoping for.
