Save your money, go with a grab to and from for example Kuta, with the entrance fee included I would have been 4 euro more economical. The issues: initially kept asking to pay him extra the entrance fee even though I had that included and also spoke like 2 hours before with the company about it; he brought us places to have coffee where the owner said if we bought he would get a free one, where they offered us drinks that looked days old; also at Tanah lot kept insisting we go the cafe; then he took a picture of me and the other girl on the tour while not paying attention, I said clearly I do not approve of that, was supposed to be for his family, I don’t care, it’s wrong and truthfully…the other girl was so displeased that left the car with me together since I was the first one brought back. Lastly, the quality of him as a guide can be suggested shortly only by the answer I got to the question how old was the temple: apparently older than him, and he was 50. While waiting for the sunset I googled the history with the other girl.

It was very educational, exceptionally beautiful, and easy to be a part of. Adi made sure we were all comfortable and cared for every step.

We enjoyed having our guide Krisna tell us all about the 6 temples. And he took photos so my husband and I have some good pics of both of us. And Krisna was great for conversation getting us from our hotel to the temple and back.

The trip itself wasn't that exciting, but we are glad we went. Our tour guide, Yogi was great and he was great not just at telling us about Tanah Lot but about Bali as a whole. When it says small group, it was just our family (2 adults, 2 children) and our friends (2 adults, 2 children) had 1 other adult with them on the trip, so we liked that it felt almost exclusive. Was well worth staying for sunset, but it doesn't need to be 1/2 day (our personal preference) and you could easily visit yourself without a guide.

the temple and view of the ocean was beautiful, thank you to our driver agus who did an amazing job guiding us there!!! heads up though, your shoes may get wet and it’s best to wear shorts if you choose to walk to the water temple.

I wish I'd never taken this tour. The information given to you is completely inaccurate. If you're picked up in Sanur, like me, then it is impossible to reach Tanah Lot by 4pm. The guides and the TripGuru owners know this, but still the information goes out incorrectly. I spent nearly 6hrs in total just sat in the car in traffic. We arrived at 5.30pm instead of 4pm and stayed roughly until 7pm. I didn't get back to my hotel until 9.30pm - too late for any dinner. If I had known this was the reality I would never have booked the tour. The owners of TripGuru need to acknowledge the traffic situation in Bali and update their info so travellers can make an informed choice.

We were five in our group when we booked this tour and we really enjoyed it. It was a very relaxing tour as our guide Agus didn’t rush us and was more than happy to answer all our questions about the history and significance of the temple. He even shared his own personal stories about it, which were great. All in all it was an afternoon well spent and I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit and learn about Tanah Lot. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site for a reason! The sunset was beautiful too!
