We really enjoyed the tour, but more importantly, in our case, the staff! They are absolutely top notch. I’m diabetic and ended up having a medical emergency and I’m so grateful for that we had purchased a tour with this group. They bent over backwards to help get me back to our condo as quickly as possible. It made the difference between me ending up in a hospital or not. I can’t explain how grateful I am to Carlos (our guide) and the rest of the staff. Prior to getting very sick, we had a great time tubing, horseback riding, and zip lining. We always felt totally safe, yet we still had enough adrenaline to make it super fun. If you’re looking for a tour group where they genuinely care about their guests, you found it. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tour and that our staff, especially Carlos, provided the support you needed. We always strive to ensure our guests have both fun and safety.
This tour was on my favorite , it was in my bucket list . My daughter and I we Did with our tour guide rainer ( great guide) we really enjoy the tubing on the river , enjoy the hot spring and fly to the zipline . It was a great date due we only were an small Group
We booked many activities with this company, this tour was one of the best, we really enjoyed the company of our guide Rainer, when we arrived at the site, the other guides were waiting for us for our adventure. Everything was super good and the food was very tasty.
Our family of 5 had the best time today! Each one of us had a different highlight. I highly recommend!! Carlos was a trooper getting us from Tamarindo and back!
This was one of the highlights from our trip to Costa Rica. Our guide Rayner was great, picked us up and got us on our way. Once we got to the Canyon Adventure compound, he checked in with us regularly and walked us through the itinerary for the day, meals, etc. We had such a fun day zip-lining, white water rafting, riding horses and ending up in the hot spring pools. Fair warning, if you elect to do the Volcanic Mud bath at the hot springs, prepare for the smell to stick with you for days on your clothing.. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this tour, and would also recommend booking through Pininos Adventures - we also booked our ATV & Beach tour with them, and overall had excellent customer service!
A wonderful day!! Booked this adventure with my 5 friends on our last day in Costa Rica, and so glad we did! We were picked up in Tamarindo in the morning to be taken to the canyon, where we were lead through a day of adventure & fun. Started with tubing, then zip-lining, horseback riding, a delicious lunch, and finally we went to the mud bath & hot springs, before being driven back to Tamarindo. We felt like there was plently of time for each activity, but it was nice that it was flexible if we decided we wanted to do less of any of the activities. The pininos team was friendly, organized, and accommodating. Definitely recommend this for those looking for an active day in the jungle!
First all Our guide carlos was wonderful...taking action photos for us along the way was a definite bonus to us & something we did not expect. He was with us the whole tour : canopy , horseback ride, tubing and hot spring . The tours guides were really friendly and funny , each activity has some risk and we do understand how they work, but the tours guides were extremely professional take care of my family the whole time . I felt happy to book this tour with this family business company , my kids enjoyed a lot and on July they want to get back to Costa Rica again!

This amazing tour was one the highly excursion we did , my whole family enjoyed To do the tubing river and hot spring . The tour was well organized, tours guides were friendly and our tour guide Rainer was knowledgeable, friendly and funny Fully recommend for Any one looking for adventures and relax
We ha the best time with carlos doing this trip , we saw the huge volcano Rincón de la vieja from the Sabana riding the horse ( perfect ride for begginer) to get to the tubing tour, the best part we really enjoy was the tubing after the hot spring and mud bath . The typical lunch was so delicious, the best food we had in our life so far. We envolved our body in to the mud ( sulfur) and let dry for 10 minutes, they had a guy who’s help to paint you if you want it but we decided to do it by our own , WE DONT HAVE ANY COMPLAIN about this amazing tour and how carlos and the other guys treat my friends and I, everything on the description was the same as we did it. Looking forward to get back to Costa Rica for more tours , 1000% recommend this company for any tours while you are in Costa Rica .
This adventure was one of the highlights of our trip. We went in November 2019 and enjoyed it very much! PROS: Excellent communication. Carlos was very kind, spoke perfect English, and taught us a lot about Costa Rica on our drive to and from our adventure. There IS water on hand so you can get a drink before and after your ziplining (what they call canopy tour). The food was excellent!! Carlos speaks perfect English so it's easy to communicate. The Guides who actually ran the ziplining and tubing communicated well and were very fun, kind, and helpful. (Carlos stays with the van and our backpacks and was very trustworthy). I've ziplined several times with the ultimate being a 1/2 day 15 line zipline in the jungle of Honduras- but this was a very good 2nd. Some other groups did rafting in the river but the tubes were a blast and the rafters were wishing they were in tubes. You have the option of a photographer capturing pics during the rafting part of the tour ($35). He did a great job & got some great shots that were very clear. We bought them. Well worth the money. CONS: My biggest CON is that the description says, "The perfect ride takes you to see the volcano, and from the savannas to the hot springs for a mud wrap." There was never anything to do with a volcano (which was a very big disappointment to me). AFTER I asked about the volcano Carlos pointed to some very distant mountains from the roadway on our drive to and from the adventure and told us which one was a volcano. The mud "wrap" was actually a man painting sulfur mud on our bodies with a fat paintbrush. then you continue standing to let it dry. There's no "wrap" (or mud "baths" just fyi). It smells like sulfur of course which isn't a pleasant smell but still a healthy and neat thing to do & I would do it again. Horseback riding was slow and kinda boring to me...This one is just personal preference and I knew there'd be horseback riding before I booked the tour but I was under the impression it was at the foot of volcanos so I was fine with it. It was a good means to get to the river for rafting but just a bit slow-paced for my liking. Again, someone who never has the opportunity to ride a horse may put this in the PROS category.
CONS Response: 1-My biggest CON is that the description says, "The perfect ride takes you to see the volcano, and from the savannas to the hot springs for a mud wrap." There was never anything to do with a volcano (which was a very big disappointment to me): sorry but when your were horsebackride, you could see the volcano from the Sabana ( flat land) Probably was cloudy after carlos pointed from the main road and that day the plans were changed at the last moment due to a security checkpoint for the clients, so the horseback riding was done to reach the river, which forced us to make the hot spring as the last option which my experience tells me, that it is best to do this at the end, after a long day of adventure 2-AFTER I asked about the volcano Carlos pointed to some very distant mountains from the roadway on our drive to and from the adventure and told us which one was a volcano.: Thats Right, carlos pointed from the main road when your were driving from Liberia city which you can able to see the volcano and the steam from the same volcano. 3-The mud "wrap" was actually a man painting sulfur mud on our bodies with a fat paintbrush. then you continue standing to let it dry. There's no "wrap" (or mud "baths" just fyi). It smells like sulfur of course which isn't a pleasant smell but still a healthy and neat thing to do & I would do it again: The Person paintng sulfur mud was an option, Otherwise you can take it with your owns hand and envolve your boddy of mud The benefits of bathing in volcanic mud are many and varied. They include beauty benefits such as conditioning of the hair, exfoliation and softening of the skin, an improvement in circulation, and the alleviation of some skin conditions. It’s also very relaxing, resulting in a great feeling of calm. The possible health benefits include reducing inflammation, a balancing of pH levels, and the relief of joint and muscle tension. we believe that you are exaggerating a bit, you were asked about the changes and you were agree, we remind you, that you suggested doing the hot springs as the last option to go relaxed to your hotel And that was what we did
