Our family had a wonderful day from start to finish. Everything was well organized, and being picked up directly near the cruise port made the morning easy. The guide spoke excellent English and shared interesting stories without making the tour feel rushed. The drive was comfortable, and it was nice not having to worry about directions or transportation. We especially enjoyed walking through the Old Town together. There was enough guided information while still leaving us free time to wander into small shops, enjoy local pastries, and take family photos. The timing was handled perfectly, and we returned to the ship with plenty of time before departure. It was a smooth, enjoyable experience that suited our whole family.
This was exactly the kind of shore excursion we were hoping for. Traveling as a couple, we liked the balance between guided sightseeing and personal time. The guide introduced us to many interesting places around Tallinn and answered everyone's questions patiently. The Old Town was beautiful, and having free time allowed us to enjoy a quiet lunch and simply walk around at our own pace. Transportation was clean and comfortable, and the return to the cruise port was perfectly timed. Overall, it made for a very relaxing day ashore.
Although I was traveling on a work-related cruise, I wanted to make the most of our stop in Tallinn. This excursion made that easy. The transportation was punctual, comfortable, and professionally managed. Our English-speaking guide presented the city's history clearly and efficiently without overwhelming the group with too much information. The free time was enough to explore independently before returning to the meeting point. Most importantly, everything ran according to schedule, and we arrived back at the cruise port with time to spare.
Traveling alone, I wanted something organized without feeling too structured. This tour was a great fit. The pickup process was simple, and both the driver and guide made everyone feel welcome. The guide shared plenty of local history while keeping the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. A group of four of us booked this during our cruise stop, and it turned out to be one of our favorite port days. A great experience filled with so much great information. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Only consider where you want to have lunch carefully. The old world restaurant we went to was gross.
We loved this tour and our guide. Joseph made sure we got the sites in and communicated on every level. Highly recommend this tour as we saw the same sites as the cruise excursions at a lot less cost.
The title of the tour is very deceptive. This is 100% walking tour. You have a bus for the first 10 minutes to take you to old town and the last 10 minutes to return. Beyond that, the tour guide walks you through upper and lower old town. If you’re not right next to her you cannot hear what she is saying. The tour focused mainly on churches.
Please note that the Additional Information section of the tour description clearly states that this tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not recommended for people with limited walking ability, such as yourself. Tallinn’s Old Town is a pedestrian zone, and the only way to explore it is on foot. To hear the guide, participants must be able to follow the group at an easy walking pace. When booking future activities, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the published tour description, itinerary, and restrictions. Safe travels!
My partner and I booked this during our Baltic cruise and thought it was an enjoyable way to discover Tallinn. The city has a peaceful atmosphere, especially inside the Old Town where every corner seems to have something interesting to look at. Our guide shared local stories without making the tour feel like a history lecture. We never felt hurried and had enough free time to sit in a small square and simply enjoy the surroundings. It was a memorable day and a nice balance of sightseeing and relaxation.
Our children usually lose interest during city tours, but this one kept everyone engaged. The guide mixed historical facts with interesting local stories, making the experience much more enjoyable. We visited the famous viewpoints, walked along beautiful cobbled streets, and admired the old buildings that make Tallinn so unique. The timing worked perfectly for cruise passengers, and we never worried about getting back late. Overall, it was a comfortable and worthwhile family outing.
