I can’t say enough good things about our surfing experience with Jon and Suzy! They had me and my two daughters, 11 and 9, up and catching waves after three tries. It was a wonderful addition to our family vacation and I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, family friendly activity on the North Shore!

Great experience for my 3 teen boys for their first time! Suzy and John were great- fun and patient. Everyone was able to get up!

Learning to surf with Suzy and Matt was awesome. They gave the right amount of instruction before getting out on the water and guiding us through the steps one by one. It was awesome and highly recommended!

This was a highlight of our vacation in Hawaii. We had so much fun learning to surf! The instructors were patient and encouraging and had picked the perfect spot with waves that were just right for beginners. They even adjusted our time slightly to ensure the tide was just right. Everyone got up and rode several waves all the way to the beach. By the end of the lesson, the kids were begging us to buy a surfboard!

We came in with two very hesitant kids — surfing felt intimidating and a little scary to them. By the end of the lesson, they were absolutely beaming. Now they ask to go back every single day. Suzy was patient, encouraging, and clearly passionate about what she does. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Matt was a great surf instructor. He showed us first on the beach and then we went into the water. He took the time to give us tips on what we could improve. With a lot of humor, funny jokes and sayings he taught us to surf. A great experience and only recommended!! Thank you for the great surf lesson!

Jon was absolutely amazing and we had a wonderful time! Very relaxed and we felt very safe. He made it so fun and was very knowledgeable.

We booked with Sunset Suzy but because of the weather, we had to cancel. The owner was kind and courteous and help us get our refund. Sunset Suzy came highly recommended for beginners so when we return to Oahu, we will book with them again.

Suzy and Matthew were so great to surf with. We were the only group surfing and we got so much time catching waves.
