Dress for heat and hydration is important. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and did an amazing job!
Rushka was a great lead. She did her best to get the group through the waiting lines and in quickly.
I would like to say that we enjoyed the tour itself given by Lucia. She was attentive, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about the Vatican and the Basilica. We give her a five star review! The issue was with the company itself. We were called the day before the tour and told that our tour would need to be switced to an earler time or to another day because our assigned guide had fallen ill. Understanding that life happens, We were happy to take an earler tour. The issue came when we arrived and were told that the Basilica and Dome tour we had scheduled and paid for would not happen. Instead we would just get a tour of the Basilica and we would be refunded 75€ so we could purchase Dome tickets ourselves. After the Basilica tour, we went to the Dome line and waited for an hour in the baking sun to get tickets. The line did not move at all during that time. We began looking for tickets to the Dome online. Even when using the Vatican website the cost was over the 75€ we were refunded and would require us to return to St. Peters another day, upsetting our overall itinerary. Sad to say, but we probsbly won't get to see the Dome top afterall. Very very disappointing.
