We had an incredible time touring the national park with our guide, Pedro Rosário. From the moment we met him, it was clear he genuinely loves this landscape — he pointed out wildlife, plants, and viewpoints most visitors would completely miss, and had a great story or bit of local history for almost every stop along the way. Pedro struck the perfect balance: knowledgeable without being a lecture, relaxed without ever feeling rushed. He was patient with our questions, flexible when we wanted to linger somewhere longer for photos, and just an easygoing, fun guy to spend the day with. It felt less like a guided tour and more like exploring the park with a friend who happened to know everything about it. If you're visiting this park, ask for Pedro. Highly recommend.

We spent a wonderful day with our guide, Hernan. The day started gray and looked like rain, but as we got closer it cleared up and we hiked some trails and saw incredible waterfalls and natural pools. Many thanks to Hernan for an unforgettable day.

Great day at Gerês Park! Marco showed us magnificent places to swim, superb viewpoints, and magnificent waterfalls. He knew how to adapt to our wishes, to everyone's pace, as well as to everyone's language, which made the day very pleasant. Everything was perfectly organized, from start to finish. Marco picked me up directly at my hotel and dropped me back off there at the end of the excursion, which was very much appreciated. The meal was excellent, with a truly delicious vegetarian option. Throughout the day, Marco shared many explanations and anecdotes about the region, which made the visit even more interesting. His good humor, his availability, and his professionalism made this excursion a real pleasure. I recommend this experience with my eyes closed!

What a beautiful day! I couldn't ask for more and this was definitely a highlight of my time in Portugal.Thank you Petito for thinking of all of the details for us! The pace of the tour was perfect with a quick stop for coffee first, a beautiful guided hike in the mountains to a waterfall as well as a tour of several local villages and time to swim after a picnic lunch by the river. Petito was incredibly knowledgeable about everything Porto, very fun and kept anticipating our needs and making sure we were well taken care of...I especially appreciated Petito explaining the commitment to sustainability, the environment and the fact that this tour supports the local villages we visited. I can't wait for my next tour with Detours.

The day started off with Pedro picking us at the hotel which we loved! It was my family of 4 from NJ, one single lady and a couple from CA. Pedro was so helpful on the hike, guiding us if we needed help on the slippery rocks near waterfalls. The lunch was perfect and even provided my daughter a last minute change in menu bc she is vegan and I forgot to notify them when I booked! Lunch was family style with a mix of meat s and fresh veggies, local wines and coffees! We had a great day and my 19 yeaqr old daughter said this was her favorite day of our two week vacation in Portugal ending in Braga for a family destination wedding! Would reco this tour and Pedro to all my family and friends! Thank you!
