We did the "feed a turtle" and "feed the rays" experiences, on the same day! It was truly wonderful! Jodie was with us for both of these experiences, not only was she amazing at her job and provided loads of information, she was our personal photographer! We had a great laugh. Would recommend!
The experience was good, Melissa was really knowledgeable and fielded a ton of questions from our aspiring marine biologist niece. The diving cage was far too small - two adults two children was cramped. The water was so buoyant that staying under was a real pain - put some handholds inside the cage for people to stay under or something - especially when you can't grab the translucent bars. The viewing cage needs to be bigger, being able to actually swim may help staying under as well. That said, Ernie the turtle was engaging, the sharks would swim near and the rays were curious to say hello. 20 mins in the water and a nice hot shower after was about right. Water not as cold as you think it's going to be either.
We booked the feed a turtle experience. Andre was so lovely. He was really friendly, seemed genuinely happy and excited in what he was doing there, was very patient and attentive and gave us lots of information about the turtle and the other fish.. he made the experience really enjoyable so thank you! The rest of the exhibit was great, lots of information and done in a really nice way. We were there quite a long time as there was lots to see. All in all it was thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the money!
Our grandson really enjoyed the experience- it was great- Our only problem is we couldn't understand a word of what the guide said before we entered- very loud into the mike and very quick but overall a nice visit
Very small and its over far too quick. Some nice fish to see and the turtle was a particular highlight. The sharks in the walk through tunnel were really cool but over all its nit a full day out.
Very good experience, good selection of animals however maybe a bit expensive for about 45 mins.
Excellent displays considering the space available. Very disappointed there is no family ticket. Charging full adult price for a 2- and 3- year old is extortionate.
Disgusted and heartbroken. Do not support this place. I have just visited SEA LIFE and left feeling completely disgusted and deeply upset by what I witnessed. The conditions for the large marine animals, particularly the sharks, are absolutely heartbreaking. These magnificent, open-ocean creatures are trapped in cramped tanks with nowhere near enough space. I watched them swim around in tight, mindless circles over and over again. It is incredibly obvious that this repetitive pacing is a direct sign of severe psychological distress and physical confinement. It is shameful that a company operating inside a commercial shopping centre is exploiting these animals for profit while pretending it’s for "education" or "conservation." Cramming wide-ranging ocean wildlife into glass boxes for human entertainment is cruel and outdated.I will never return, and I urge anyone who cares about animal welfare to boycott this place. They do not deserve your money.
The turtle talk wasn't on to begin with, so my little one was gutted as she loves that part. Then the rock pool was filled with plastic leaves and toys - again, disappointing as my little one loves that part.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent visit with us. Our Turtle Beach show is off for short periods of time when we host our Quiet Mornings. We'd appreciate discussing your feedback further if you would like to, you can contact us directly at info@sealifemanchester.co.uk. Kind regards, SEALIFE Manchester
I cannot fault the overall experience. Yes it is a bit smaller, but that is fairly obvious from the outside and I feel the price does reflect this. Laura was extremely friendly & helpful, and truely went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. All of the staff we encountered were friendly but Laura really stood out to us!
