We had a fabulous lesson on a stunning beach! My kids (19 and 17) absolutely loved every minute. They were both able to stand up on the board and had a blast the entire lesson. So glad we did this!

This is our second time booking with this operator. My kids (11 and 15) really enjoy the lessons the first time and wanted to try again, communication with the operator is good via text which I appreciate very much as well, this is to learn the basics and get the hang of being on a board on your own, these is really good for first timers. The instructor was friendly and patient with the kids too. We like the experience, the location and this beach. Just a quick beware: We unfortunately had an issue with a lost pair of shoes left in the shack as instructed. By the time we were to leave the beach, they were gone. The instructors were gone by then too so we have no one to ask onsite about them. I informed the operator via text, hoping that perhaps they were moved inside with the boards by mistake or another instructor mistakenly took them but still they were not located. The operator apologized and provided a refund for one of the lessons, which I appreciated for taking responsibility even thought we aren't sure how they disappeared. My son had to leave the premises barefoot, get in uber and back to our hotel without shoes and we had to buy new shoes that day as those were the only waterproof shoes he had brought for the trip. So lesson learned, watch your shoes. All in all, we would book again for the surfing!

I randomly booked this class and it was 100% worth it. I had a blast. The instructor took her time with me which I appreciate.

Beautiful beach spot behind the Marriott hotel. First time surfing for my boys (14/12/8). We were the only people at our scheduled time, so plenty of attention from the instructor. He was very good and encouraging with the kids. He worked with each of them to help them catch good waves and give them tips. They each were able to get up to their feet at least a little bit during the lesson (husband and I probably need to work on our fitness a little before we try this again…lol, but was still fun.) I brought a life jacket for my 8 year old who can swim but is not super confident yet, but he ended up not needing it. The water was shallow enough where we were. Definitely recommend! Oh, and we did this as a 3rd party excursion during a cruise port day. It was easy to take a taxi from the port and then we had a Lyft take us back to Old San Juan after. First trip was only about 15 minutes, the way back took closer to 25 minutes in traffic.

The instructors were nice, informative and helpful. But I will say with the shorter boards and the smoother waters it was difficult to find any balance.

the experience i had was amazing. ray was an amazing instructor while i tried my first time surfing. i actually was able to stand up multiple times during my session which is very hard to do but with his tips and adjustment coaching i was able to really enjoy my time alone on the board after the lesson was over. he made me feel very comfortable on the board as we stretched beforehand and since i was the only person that day who booked a lesson he said i could stay for longer than usual which i was very grateful for. i will be booking this experience again!!

Very nice and patient instructor especially since I'm not very coordinator. Water was great and safe, would do it again and already recommended my friends.
