Excellent walk. Brilliant performance of the driver's guide, Mr. Sources. I recommend the walk. Cunhada easy level and excellent baths in the waterfalls.

My family went on a day-long private excursion to Geres National Park with our guide Daniel. It was a perfect day for us - Daniel was there first thing in the morning as promised, and we were off on the drive to Geres (it was around 1.5h journey, so the nice van was a plus given the time driving). Being a private tour, I was a bit concerned about the guide: it can be awkward if they want to chat the entire way (or not say much, for that matter), but Daniel was a wonderful guide who built the day around us and our wants and needs. He let us be quiet when we were, but also engaged when we did. He was knowledgeable about the park and taught us a lot about Portuguese culture. We really enjoyed talking with him and learning, he was very easy to like and talk with. We had an amazing time at the two lagoons that we went to - such clear and clean water, and the cold water was a delight after the hiking we did in the heat. It was a trek, but Daniel made sure to keep all members of my family at the pace they could sustain (he's in great shape - probably could have run up the mountains, no sweat! My fam: not so much). The lunch we had at the local restaurant was also very good, and gave us a more "local" (and delicious!) meal than the touristy stuff that we also enjoyed in Porto. Wish I could give him and the tour six stars. We all had a wonderful time, and it was the best thing we did in Porto.

We did several tours with detours and LOVED them all! This tour in Geres was one of the highlights for sure!! The scenery was magical. You have to be in fairly good shape for this hike and wear good shoes with tread. The lunch and wine in a local village was delicious! Marco was our guide and he was amazing!

We had a wonderful time! Teresa showed us beautiful, picturesque places. It was wonderful, we recommend it!

This was one of the most breath taking excursions! Even though Portugal was extremely hot this day- our guide Daniel did an exceptional job showing us views, lagoons and sharing all his knowledge, while still making sure we stayed cool and safe with the heat. He truly made the experience with how hands on he was with our safety, our enjoyment and making sure we got to take in all of the beautiful scenery that the national park had to offer. Would absolutely return & do this again, but only if Daniel could be the guide!

Geres is magical! Gratitude to guide Teresa for passing the safety for me to cross my limits and make the trail in nature to find one of the most beautiful places in the world. Theresa, with her astral high, made a wonderful connection with the group making the experience even more enjoyable.

What an experience! This full day tour was everything I could have imagined and more. Not only was the hike great, but the views were spectacular. The trip was made even more enjoyable by our guide, Bea. She was encouraging, funny, and made sure we saw and appreciated the hidden gems of the park. Truly an unforgettable experience, thank you to Bea for her amazing guidance. She truly cares about not only your experience but the national park itself!
