Helena was our food guide. She took us to five different stops, while walking the city center, in order to try a variety of delicious Portuguese foods and wines. We visited restaurants we might never have found as a tourist, giving us a chance to try authentic cuisine. Highly recommend.

We had an incredible time with João on our walking food tour of Porto. João was an incredibly knowledgeable host and shared a wealth of information about the city. He took us to fantastic restaurants and gave us tons of details about each place. João was extremely personable and was happy to answer any of our questions. He also shared tons of other recommendations with us to check out after the tour. The food, wine, and beer we tried were all wonderful, and I am glad our group had decided to skip breakfast before the tour because we had more than enough food to fill us up! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Porto, and I would also encourage asking for João, if possible!

My wife and I have done tours in other countries with various tour guides, and let me just say that João provided the best experience we have had thus far! The food was exceptional, and we got exposed to several traditional dishes that we wouldn’t have ordered otherwise (and would have missed out on)! However, more than the food, the history lesson and stories behind the city/places/food we tried was the REAL experience! João is a local, university trained historian and it definitely shows! We will be enjoying our time in the city much more than we would have without this tour! Would recommend everyone start their journey in Porto with this tour!

This tour was excellent! Carlota, our guide, took us to 5 different stops and all had delicious food and drinks. Carlota is a Porto native, so she curated stops where locals go, and knew all the owners and staff. She also shared a lot of Porto’s history, some of which lends itself to the food. We would totally do this tour with Carlota again, and think you should too!

By all means, book this tour on your first or second day in Porto! Jaoa was one of the best guides we have had. Took us to places we never would have stopped at and tried so many things we would never have tried on our own. In addition to the food and wine, his knowledge of Porto and it's history really enhanced the tour.
