前田高地は白桑尾根とも呼ばれ、浦添市に位置するドラマチックな崖上のランドマークです。 東シナ海から約60メートルの高さにそびえるサンゴの石灰岩台地で、太平洋と周辺の海岸線を遮るものなく一望できる。 日本語の「前田」は前田岬一帯を指し 、 「 白草」は「白い草」と訳され、かつてこれらの風吹きはらんだ崖を覆っていた青白い植生をあらわしている。 高地は1945年の沖縄戦で激戦地となった歴史的意義が深い。 断崖絶壁は戦略的防御陣地として機能し、現在も洞窟住居や軍事要塞など戦争の名残を随所に見ることができる。 現在では、自然観光名所と追悼の場を兼ねており、太平洋戦争最後の陸戦で犠牲となった人々の慰霊碑がいくつかある。

The perfect customizable tour from Naha Cruise port. Easy pick up, very clean and comfortable van with licensed driver. The tour guide Yoshi is very knowledgeable and fun! The tour guide insufficient experience in two out of tour for Shikinaen Garden and Tsuboya Pottery museum walk. She may need to improve English for better explanation. Going around by taxi is not the best way for such type tour. Tour and activity provide need to review this tour itinerary. If the tourist has the time they may go around by themselves.

This is a great way to see okinawa. It has an exciting history and a lot more to be experienced than just shopping streets. We saw waterfalls and castles and beautiful scenery

Hide was very knowledgeable and flexible with my guided tour and I was able to learn a lot and experience places in Okinawa I would not have normally been able to go to. Hide even had a kind friend that was able to drive us around to areas that we wouldn't have been able to reach by the monorail, such as Mihama American Village, which added to the experience and positive memories from my trip to Okinawa. I would definitely recommend a guided tour, especially if you are lucky enough to get someone as knowledgeable, kind, and customer-service oriented as Hide.
