Early start and first to arrive. Mr Ken provided history of Vietnam travelling out and guided us around the temples and was excellent. Would fully recommend.
Great guide...super knowledgeable and friendly. My Son is amazing...and the morning tour is so peaceful and relaxing...we basically had the place to ourselves
Mr Ken was a punctual and engaging guide! Very knowledgeable and always ready to share more about Vietnam’s history when asked. The car was very comfortable and had strong air-con, very important when it’s so hot outside. Our family of 4 enjoyed the tour very much. Thank you!
Binh got us there as the park opened to beat the crowds. He went very slowly explained so many points of the Cham lifestyle to us. Well done!
Fantastic tour. Pick up at 5am in Hoi An, interesting early morning drive to My Son. Mr Ken our guide was very helpful and had very good knowledge of the site.i learned so much about the history. Mr Ken is also a v good photographer and took photos of us both- great pics. Our return journey we had a very good history lesson about Vietnam. Very interesting journey. We loved it and I highly recommend.
My Son is definitely worth a visit. Though the temples are largely in ruins, you still get a good idea how great the complex must have looked when they were intact. It's quite the change to find such an old and serene place so close to Hoi An, whose charm is a result of much more recent history. Doing the sunrise tour is a good idea, as it allows you to dodge most of the crowds. My guide was Mr. Ken, who spoke great English, was very knowledgeable about the place and Vietnamese history in general, and was able to point out all sorts of fascinating details.
We had a good tour organizer, who had arranged a very experienced guide on the tour. He knows almost everything and was very kind enough to take very good shots that highlight the beauty of the site. The driver was a young guy, otherwise, drove well. Overall rating, excellent!
There are some tours that you want to leave a review of even before the excursion is done. This is one of them. The tour operator called to confirm pickup the night before, they were on time, and Ken was one of the best guides on our whole trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke from first-hand experience and his own extensive research. Also, do the sunrise tour! We were the only ones at the site and the morning sun made our photos superb. Plus you get in and out before it gets too hot. As we were set to leave, a bunch of large coach buses pulled in. We were picked up in Danang at 5:30 and got back at 9 am.
We had a very early start leaving our hotel in Hoi An at 5am and arrived at My Son by 6am. Gates open at 6:15am and then you get shuttle close to the temple area. A short walk of 300m and you can experience the beautiful temples. Our guide Lam was very knowledgeable and happy to help take some photos for us. There was only 8 other people looking at the temples this early so it was easy to get photos of all the temples without strangers in them. Apparently the normal morning tours that start at 8/9am are very crowded & you can’t get great photos. The light at sunrise was still quite dark because the temples are in the bottom of a valley. The best light started to appear around 7:30 when we were leaving. If photography is important for you make sure you stick around longer.

I know 5 am is early for vacation-- but I would STRONGLY suggest this tour to anyone. The guide and driver arrived on time to our hotel and took us directly to My Son Sanctuary. It was lovely to get there before the crowds and before the heat set in. We had the place to ourselves which led to perfect photo ops. The guide, Kan, was very informative and proud to share his knowledge with us. He provided valuable insight to better understand the importance of the site and its legacy. Thank you, Kan, for the informative trip!
