Many thanks to Jean-Baptiste for leading the four of us on an informative three hour personalized tour of Lyon today. After giving us an overview of Lyon’s history and taking us to a historic square, he proceeded to lead us, per our request, through some “traboules” , sectet passageways used by the former Silk Industry and later used during WWII by the Resistance. All during the tour, he encouraged us to ask questions and gave us in-depth explanations It was a truly memorable experience!

Joseph was a great guide. My husband was supposed to join me for the tour, however he couldn't make it. I had informed the company of my wish list for the places to see and Joseph made sure that I see everything and more. He was a great photographer too. He took amazing pictures of me and helped me take some excellent shots of the city. He walked me back to the hotel and recommended restaurants and sone local dishes to try. I can tell you that his recommendations were spot on

Joseph is highly knowledgeable and engaging. He knows his way around incredibly well so customises tour on the fly.

Our guide Olga was lovely and very knowledgeable on the history of Lyon. She took us to all the key sites in our 2hr tour and provided a host of recommendations for other things to see.

When we arrived in Lyon by boat, the Viator Guide was very flexible in establishing a convenient meeting place. Ashley met us at a hotel near our docking area. She was fantastic and her English and French were easily understood. She took the time to understand our points of interests and our walking tour encompassed all. Jean Babtiste was a terrific guide for our first day in Lyon. He took our group of four adults on a 2-hour walking tour to introduce us to some of the highlights in the central area of this beautiful city. His knowledge of history and the role Lyon has played on the world stage made for very interesting conversation. One member of our party has some physical limitations dealing with climbing long staircases, which Jean Babtiste handled by planning our route to avoid long, steep walks and take advantage of the funiculars to go up to the Roman theatre and the Notre-Dame basilica. At no time did we feel like he was watching the clock to wrap up the tour. Over coffee at the end of our tour he shared some fascinating stories from his work as a producer of documentaries. We would recommend Jean Babtiste as a guide in Lyon without hesitation.

Lovely that our guide could come right to our hotel as we were feeling somewhat jet-lagged after our plane and train journey. She gave us a lovely walking overview of an area we hadn't seen on prior visits and really made Lyon open up from a local's perspective. A good way to get acquainted to a new city.

Olga is v knowledgeable as a guide. We enjoyed our time with her. We love history and a bit more of that would have made this tour even better.
