The day started off eventful with an unforeseen reason causing a late start but Ziyan was very accommodative to ensure our day was still great. The vehicle we drove in was quite spacious and the A/C blasting was much appreciated after being under the sun for so long beforehand. The drive to Lunenburg and Mahon Bay was scenic and our Guide and Driver, Ziyan was very knowledgeable providing us with lots of historic facts about the province, the small towns and interesting facts about lobsters. Mahon Bay is a very small, quaint town, famous for the former large church that separated into three different churches and also the many islands. Driving a short distance into Lunenburg, this town is very historic and the European-influenced architecture, colourful houses and culture can be seen evident today. The Bluenose II was closed for maintenance and so we couldn’t do any harbour tours or open deck events but there were lots more to do. The drive back was good and we definitely appreciated the option to choose a pickup and drop-off location; in our case, the locations were very convenient for us. We would absolutely recommend this private tour with this family-owned business and with Ziyan.

Claudio made it easy to find him across from the cruise terminal exit. His hybrid Lexus is sooo comfortable and he is an excellent driver. I wanted to spend some more time in Mahone Bay and this was not an issue. Claudio shared how Halifax has changed and took us to see the anchor from the historic explosion in Halifax on the way to Mahone Bay. When we arrived in Lunenburg, Claudio suggested his favorite restaurants for lunch. We explored the town and met up him after lunch. My favorite store in Mahone Bay was Northern Sun. I purchased a purse that was designed in Canada and they sell Villager puzzles that are Canadian designed. We arrived back in Halifax on time. I highly recommend Claudio if you are looking for a relaxing excursion. We have visited Halifax before but next time we will book a tour with him to see more of Halifax and visit Dartmouth.

Great scenery in Lunenburg and Mahome Bay. Much further than expected from Bar Harbour. Van is not meant for 6 people. Folks in back seat couldn’t hear at all. Aamir was a kind tour guide.

We had SAEID for our tour guide. he was phenomenal. It was my birthday that day and he allowed us to make some small changes within the tour that were along the way that really made a difference on the entire experience. He was kind easy to communicate with right on time, text us let us know right where he was. It was such a breeze doing this tour with him. The most important thing is, he made sure that he had us back in plenty of time to connect with our ship after our tour. I would book this again. I recommend you do it as well.
