Lots of information great storyteller keeps you drawn in! A lot of walking make sure you have comfortable sneakers! We walked a few miles up hills, but it was nice after we were able to hang out around the area and we got gelato and french fries nearby as we walked back to our hotel!

Maria our guide was great, excellent knowledge and insight into Lisbon’s dark past, the only thing I would say is bring a jacket as the stops and information given go on for a long time

A lovely way to learn more about Lisbon and its history. The walking was spread out so it wasn't tiring. Our guide Maria was very knowledgeable and brought the history to life.

Maria was an amazing guide and story teller. She was so passionate, knowledgeable, and animated. It was a joy to walk the streets of Lisbon with her. She managed a larger group well and paced the stories well too. It was a great mix of history and culture. We would go on another walk led by Maria any day!

The customer service at Shadowing Tours was great; I reached out to see if we could reschedule due to the Portugal v Spain World Cup game, and Beatriz contacted me right away to work out the new time and date. She was quick, very accommodating, and gave me all of the information I needed for our reschedule, which was so appreciated. Our tour guide, Victoria, was fun, knowledgable, and had a great sense of humor. The 1.5 hours flew by and we got to see parts of the city that I hadn't been able to see before. The length of the tour and the content that was delivered was worth more than the price of admission. After the tour ended, we caught up with Victoria to ask about a restaurant recommendation and she walked us to a place that had the best grilled sardines and mussels that any of us had ever had, so big thanks to her for that!

This was a fascinating and highly enjoyable evening tour that took us to several landmarks in the historic centre of Lisbon that were significant in the dark history of Portugal that dealt with the inquisition. This notorious episode in history is most often associated with Spain but Portugal also had its share of horrific events and personalities related to the inquisition. Our tour guide Andreia provided a compelling account of the tragic and gruesome implications of the inquisition as it relates to Portugal and more specifically Lisbon. Her stories were captivating and her English skills impeccable. She displayed an immense passion for the subject matter that made this tour all the more memorable. I highly recommend this tour to those that enjoy an atmospheric experience pertaining to this dark chapter in Portuguese history.

Fantastic people who love the real brutal history. The guide maria had a wealth of knowledge and was very theatrical and passionate about teaching. I loved it.

We learned a lot and the guide delivered perfectly as expected. :) a smaller tour with a different topic exactly what we wanted.

I liked getting to know more obscure facts about the history of Lisbon. I expected a more immersive and scary experience. The experience was more in a historical perspective, but it was very interesting.
