Great experience overall. The cruise was lonely, family friendly and everyone on board was friendly and engaging. Our guide Ninh was especially welcoming. He made a point to check in with every person in the cruise making each group feel welcomed. His knowledge ability to answer questions and friendly demeanor made us all feel at ease. Although it is a booked tour, the engagement, conversations and connections felt genuine. Ninh did a great job. Everyone in the crew was also very accommodating and went out of their way to make everyone feel at home. The basically private tours in kayaks were the highlight of the trip.

This tour exceeded my expectations and went to uncrowded areas in the bay, giving me access to empty beaches. Highlights include squid fishing/eating, bat caves, swimming, and kayaking. They also allowed me to store my extra luggage at the office and helped me book my bus to leave as soon as I returned from the overnight excursion. But what really shined during this tour was our guide Jack, who was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all topics including history, marine life etc. All the facilities on the boat were exceptional but what really made the trip worth it was Jack. I highly recommend Jack as a tour guide and would gladly go again.

Really amazing experience, good food, beautiful scenery and an amazing guide Cong who was able to find us a rare monkey (1/90) at the end of the first day. Amzing boat, amazing room also.

We did a 2-day cruise with Cat Ba Ventures in Lan Ha Bay last summer with our family, and it was an absolute must-do! Everything was organized to perfection from start to finish. A fabulous experience with Cat Ba Ventures, great value for money, the boat was spacious and clean, the food was lovely and plentiful and our guide Tony and the crew were fantastic and very friendly. Tony was knowledgeable about the area and the history of Vietnam and entertaining too…a great story teller! We loved the less touristy side of Ha Long Bay, Tony took us to the quietest places and we enjoyed the peace and beauty. The whole experience, from booking direct to the end of the trip was seamless and communication with the office staff and transfers via Cat Ba Express were first class. This trip is perfect for those with a sense of adventure, a love of the natural world and for those who want a less touristy experience. Highly recommend doing a two night trip…we wish we had!

Jack was an excellent guide to explain to way of living in and around the sea in Ha Long Bay. We loved the vibes on board and in the kayak, the beaches were amazing! Thank you to learn us how to catch squid in the evening. It was a wonderfull experience!

Tony was an very enthusiastic guide that was always available for us. It was a good mixture between relax and activities. Booking other tours with more things to visit, could be stressfull. The first kayaking experience was a little bit crowded, when we arrived. But we were guided to a hidden place where we could watch some monkeys. Other groups were not guided and missed this place.
