The driver and guide Mr Allen was very courteous and friendly. It’s a long day trip , almost 10-11 hours , the actual sight seeing time is only around 3 hours , 40 min boat ride (optional), 1 1/2 hour at amblelane village for lunch and walk around and about 1 hour more. If you are a family better to stay for one or two days in the Lake District to enjoy the walk, food and beer. If alone or two people and short of time and still want to have a bird eye tour of Lake District, then take this tour

Fantastic day of touring the Lake District with Shelly - who is funny, kind, and knowledgeable! It was a great mix of touring around on the bus and getting out to explore towns. Best parts were the lovely boat ride on Windermere and the walk down a hill surrounded by fantastic mountain views and lots of Hedgewick sheep! Nice leisurely pace. Loved the gingerbread from Grasmere, too. We definitely recommend Shelly's tour!!

Tour guide did an excellent job. The places we visited and the sites we saw were spectacular. I highly recommend this day trip.

I’d like to say what a lovely time we had on our Lake District experience for the day. We were escorted by Adrian who was full of information regarding the lakes and plenty of ‘dad jokes’ 😂😂 Only one small thing a toilet break in the way would have been appreciated and one especially on the way back. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using again in the future

I had an amazing time on this tour to the Lake District, did not disappoint in the slightest!!! The tour itself was extremely well organised and Adrian, the driver, was engaging, welcoming, efficient and extremely informative. Each stop on the tour, had in particular, unique features corresponding to the place. The scenery was spectacular, such stunning landscapes; all very appreciated!! All the activities were immensely memorable and thoroughly enjoyable. My personal highlights was firstly, the walk which was undertaken at Blea Tarn, with the stunning vistas and secondly, viewing the natural visual beauty of the waterfalls at Ambleside, delightfully magical!! May I say, Adrian, much kind gratitude for showing us all, the wonderful waterfalls. I have no hesitation in highly and personally recommending this tour if you wish to visit the Lake District.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Busy Bus trip to the Lake District on 17th October 2025. It was very easy to book on line and Adrian our driver and guide was good fun and very knowledgeable about the area and the famous people who lived there. Our minibus was modern and comfortable . There were only 11 of us on the tour and we were all looking forward to a great day out. It was a mild ,windless day , and cloudy but the scenery was spectacular and the autumn colours made beautful relections in the Lakes. We had a 40 minute boat trip to pretty Ambleside where we stopped for lunch. We then travelled to Blea Tarn through narrow roads and more beautiful scenery. After a short optional walk we then travelled to Grassmere and could visit Wordworth's grave and purchase the famous Ginerbread . After another short woodland walk in Ambleside we then made our return journey to Chester. Adrian was a great guide and the trip was very good value for money . It was so nice not having to drive and we met some interesting fellow passengers. Highly recommended.

The tour was beautiful, organized very well and the schedule of visits was respected. Just a suggestion: it would be useful to provide an instant translation system because not everyone is a native English speaker.

Had a wonderful day touring the Lake District with my daughter. We are from Australia so it was an amazing experience for us see beautiful scenery and dwellings. Lee our driver was awesome with his information and his caring attitude. Loved his stories of famous sheep and his many other funny stories.
