Had a great experience! Learned about the culture of tea in Japan and was a relaxing activity after all the busyness during our trip. Our host Kiyoka was so friendly and easy to talk to, she’s was amazing. Can’t recommend this enough!
If you are looking for an authentic, intentional experience in Kyoto, do not miss this. Located in a central but wonderfully quiet 100-year-old house, it feels like a secret treasure. We were guided by Hana, whose immense knowledge and gentle spirit made the session deeply impactful. The entire ceremony possessed a mesmerizing, dance-like quality. It was incredibly moving to see how much purpose was woven into every single movement. This experience perfectly blends traditional custom with a calming, meditative flow. Hana masterfully showed us how to wrap everyday tasks in a layer of purpose, giving us the tools to exalt the ordinary. An absolute highlight of our trip that we will carry with us for a long time
