Seeing fireflies for the first time was more magical than I could ever have imagined. If you have children I would definitely take them. Catching them gently and then releasing them again was spectacular and something I will remember for life. We got very lucky with the blue tears and did manage to see the bioluminescent algae however we were warned that it’s temperature/ weather dependent. Dinner provided was delicious and we even got to see otters in the wild! Would recommend. We also enjoyed being taken to feed the monkeys some fruit- take cash with you if you’re interested and hold your fruit bag tight. Definitely worth the money, great trip, great guide.

We had a Kuala Selangor Fireflies & Blue Tears Guided tour with dinner. Communication via WhatsApp with our guide, Chandran, was flawless—from the initial instructions and pickup to the time after the tour. Chandran is a knowledgeable and engaging guide who explained everything clearly. He speaks excellent, easy-to-understand English. During the tour, we were pleasantly surprised by a visit to Bukit Malawati. Chandran also shared interesting historical insights and useful information about the present day. The dinner was well-organized and delicious; our preferences were fully taken into account. Many thanks, Chandran—all the best, and hopefully we’ll see you again. Also thanks to the bus driver. He drove well.

Be warned this trip takes 6-8 hours depening on traffic, with about half the time in transit on the bus . Overall this was a very average experience. The best thing was the comfort and cleanliness of the bus and the professionalism of the driver. The hill fort / monkey feeding experience, firefly cruise, and dinner were underwhelming. There were no 'blue tears' to be seen. The guide, Charlie, was friendly but was at times hard to understand as he spoke very fast. He did not accompany us on any of the activities. I do not recommend this experience.

We were picked up on time and received precise information about the meeting point. Our guide Chandran and driver Maren took the best care of us. That way we also received a gluten-free dinner. Everything worked out without any problems. We would do it again.

Nice…..never seen before, its a short option if you don’t have plans, we couldnt see blue tears but its depends about natural

He is a great guide who takes good care of all his guests. He gives clear and detailed explanations and keeps the tour moving smoothly without unnecessary delays. He also explains the most convenient way to get back after the tour.

We are a family of 6. It is one of the rare excursions we did as a group among our many excursions. Nothing to compare in terms of experience with our private excursions. Not many explanations. Forced to have lunch with another family in the middle of the restaurant without having the interesting view. The guide apologized, but ultimately nothing was done. Feeding the monkeys is a bit of a tourist trap. No blue tears that evening. If I had to do it again, I would do it on my own by hiring a driver/car with Brendan transportation. The cost would be much cheaper and the experience undoubtedly better.

Great experience with Monkeys, fire flies and blue tiers. The food was great too.

the tour was fantastic, food was great. Seafood by the river at sunset was a plus. All fees included in the tour. our guide Stephen was very knowledgeable and good sense of humor. Most of all he was very attentive to our needs

The guide was great. The boat trip was fast-paced. Unfortunately, the plankton glowed very little on our evening. The fireflies were already beautiful. You can do it... But it wasn't overwhelming either ;-)
