The first half of the tour was about Poland, and the beginning of WWII. The tour guide was fantastic. The time went by quickly. Wish there had been more about life for the Jews Mr. Schindler saved - where did they live, what did they eat, did they have access to buy shoes, clothes, etc. while working in the factory. Would do it again first with a guide and then without a guide to spend more time reading the information cards.
I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Natalia our tour guide had excellent communication from start to finish which I really appreciated. The tour itself was super interesting. You could spend hours at the Schindler Factory and still not feel like you've seen everything. I highly recommend this tour. One of the benefits is ensuring that you get a ticket as certain times seem to sell out.
The time of the tour was changed from morning to afternoon and then started 1 hour late. Our tour guide was not obvious to find and kept saying he had to be somewhere else. He had a flippant attitude and we couldn’t tell if he was joking or serious in his stories. At times it felt he was being too personally political rather than just factual. We felt disappointed and let down by the experience. We wish we had booked our own tickets and gone at our own pace.
Great guide and very personable.
I expected the tour to be of the factory and More info on Oscar Schindler. I didn’t realize it was going to be another history lesson on the Jewish people, Nazis and invasion into krakow
Our guide Natalia was extremely knowledgeable about WW2, Krakow history and Schindler’s story. She answered questions thoroughly and with sensitivity. Be prepared to wait in line for tickets into the factory. The tour is 1 and a half hours but the wait to get in was approximately 1 hour. Keep this in mind if booking other events/excursions on the same day.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Natalia’s knowledge and thoughtful approach made your visit to Schindler’s Factory a meaningful experience. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to her. We also appreciate you mentioning the waiting time. The entrance to the museum can sometimes involve a queue, which is unfortunately outside our direct control, and we understand that this can affect plans for other activities. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Krakow in the future! 😊
Good guide and interesting museum but the group was too big. The rooms and corridors were so small that a group of 8 not 25 would be more appropriate. I wish we’d gone as individuals and had time to look at the exhibits at our own pace. Nothing against the guide - she was great!
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the museum interesting and that our guide did a great job. We completely understand your point about the group size. Schindler’s Factory has relatively narrow rooms and corridors, so a larger group can make it more difficult to move around comfortably and take time to explore the exhibits independently. We’re sorry that this affected your experience. We’ll certainly take your comments into consideration when reviewing our group arrangements. We truly appreciate your kind words about the guide and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more comfortable experience in the future.
The museum was very disappointing, small spaces with mostly photos on the wall. Not the real factory. If you book a tour, you must show a physical ID. A copy will not be accepted. They also do not think along to solve this. Without a tour you don't have to show proof of identity. So we wanted to buy a ticket like that so everyone could come, but no, we couldn't, just join the back of the line. That line was long and you can't just get through without a reservation. So 1 of our family was not allowed to come, despite a booking and copy id. Tour was offered by SeeKrakow, booked with TUI. They don't offer audio. Other providers do. Because the groups are large, the spaces very small, we couldn't hear more than half of them. The tour guide was already in a different room, while more than half of the group couldn’t reach it, so you only get fragments and you have no idea what you’re looking at. Also found the total museum disappointing. Consists mainly of replicas and photos on the wall.
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that the visit did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the ID requirement and the difficulties experienced by your family. The requirement to present a physical, valid ID for museum entry is imposed by the museum and applies to guided tour bookings. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions or accept copies in place of the required document. We understand, however, how frustrating this must have been, especially when one member of your family was unable to join despite having a booking. We’re also sorry to hear that the group size affected your ability to hear and follow the guide. Schindler’s Factory has relatively small rooms, and we understand that a large group can make it difficult for everyone to stay close enough to the guide. Your comments about the audio option and group experience are valuable, and we’ll take them into consideration when reviewing our tour arrangements. As for the museum itself, the exhibition focuses on Krakow during the German occupation and uses photographs, reconstructions, documents and multimedia elements rather than preserving the original factory interior. We understand that this may not match every visitor’s expectations. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We’re sorry that the experience fell short of what you had
Couldn't get in with the tour as had no ID and they wouldn't give us a refund.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry that you were unable to join the tour and understand how disappointing this must have been. Please note that Schindler’s Factory Museum requires visitors joining guided tours to present a valid physical ID document. This requirement is set by the museum, and unfortunately we are not able to make exceptions or provide entry without the required identification. We understand that this may not have been clear enough at the time of booking, and we’ll continue working to make this requirement as visible as possible in our tour information. We’re sorry that we could not provide the experience you had planned.
The experience contained many photographs that one can view in a documentary or history book. There weren’t many original artifacts and you don’t explore the actual factory. You see the administrative offices of the factory. It was neat to see Schindler’s office space and pay your respects to the people who worked there and suffered that terrible period in our history.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful reflections with us. We completely understand where you are coming from. Because of the museum's name and its depiction in popular culture, many visitors expect an extensive walk through the manufacturing floors and original machinery. As you rightly pointed out, the museum is housed in the former administrative building, and the permanent exhibition—"Kraków Under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945"—is heavily focused on photographic archives, multimedia, and immersive stage-set reconstructions to tell the broader history of the city and its residents during WWII. That being said, we are glad that seeing Oskar Schindler's original office space and paying your respects to the victims and survivors of that tragic period held meaning for you. It remains a deeply important site of remembrance. We truly appreciate your balanced review, as it helps future travelers set realistic expectations about the museum's layout and focus. Thank you for choosing Discover Cracow, and we hope the rest of your visit to Kraków was memorable. Kind Regards, Discover Cracow Team
