Guide was very well educated in the culture and history sites visited. She was very patient and flexible with our needs

This one tour was to be the highlight of our vacation, a guided tour through the main sites of Istanbul. The guide was fairly knowledgeable during the tour, however during our purchased tour time he took us to his friends rug business. This was not part of the tour and occurred during our scheduled tour time. We were solicited for over an hour at this shop to purchase a rug where I’m certain he received a commission. I felt as though I was on a timeshare sales pitch and pressured to buy. He never asked our permission to go there, and acted as though this was part of our paid tour. This totally caught us off guard and we were extremely upset about it. It ruined the entire tour and our day in Istanbul. In addition, he was on his phone a lot while he was with us and we felt the info he provided was quite minimal. We did see all the sites on our list. Our guide wasn’t rude, he was pleasant during his time with us, but we were not satisfied with the overall experience.

We absolutely loved this tour. It was an incredible way to experience Istanbul and see so many of the city’s major historic sites in a single day without ever feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Everything was well organized, thoughtful, and easy, and having a private guide made an enormous difference—we were able to ask questions, linger when something particularly interested us, and actually understand the history and significance of what we were seeing rather than simply moving from landmark to landmark. Istanbul has an extraordinary amount of history layered into one city, and this tour gave us a much deeper appreciation for it. We finished the day feeling like we had genuinely learned something while also having a wonderful time. One of the highlights of our trip to Türkiye and absolutely worth doing. Highly recommend.

Excellent content, superb knowledge of all the attractions we visited and delivered to our pace and timing. Outstanding. Sude our guide was funny, charming and very knowledgable. Any question was answered with expertise and interest. She is brilliant

What a great experience , our tour guide Sude was a gem. She took us all over and even though the Grand Bazar was closed cause it was Sunday we went to the Egyptian Bazar just as good. Highly recommend this tour.

An absolutely amazing tour! Sude was the highlight of our stay in Istanbul. She was super knowledgeable and was able to answer all our history questions. We learned so much without it feeling like a boring history class. So much enthousiasm, humour, fun facts, all around the perfect balance! You must ask for Sude if you book this tour, you will have the best day!

You allocated professional guide Renan to look after us. She did an amazing job. We were pleasantly surprised that it was an individual tour and not a group tour. She was able to answer all my questions ( I'm a bit of a history buff) . The other remarkable thing was her ability to skip the long queues at various sites as she obviously knew how to do this. Renan was very kind,personable,she listened to what our interests were and adjusted the tour accordingly. We had an amazing day. Thankyou Renan and Viatour. Well done.

Fuat was punctual, kind, very knowledgeable easy to talk to talk to, his English was very good. We are very happy that we did a private tour with him it was totally worth it. We saw everything we wanted to see. I recommend him in Viator, Thank you Carole Hughes
