We Had an amazing day , saw three whales & many dolphins.1 very active huge humpback that gave us quite a show with multiple breaches & roles, it really was just incredible to witness . Fantastic crew & commentary, very professional & clean modern boat , we will definitely book again, thanks

It was a great experience thankyou. Only 2 of us. Appreciated the jackets. Rug up if you go. The wind is cold in July! Only saw 2 whales but the bonus seal and dolphins were some compensation. I was hoping for some breaching but no luck today. Great staff - friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

If I could add more than 5 ⭐️ I would !!! Amazingggggg!!! I attended a sunrise photography whale watching cruise with my friend that was hosted by Scott a well known photographer in th3 Newcastle area, Scott was very helpful with offering guidance for any photography questions. Dom the skipper done an awesome job by guiding us to view some very playful whales in the morning while also sharing some very interesting information about the whales. Loved the experience and def cannot wait to book my next cruise

Amazing sunrise photography whale cruise with Dom and Scott the photographer. My friend Kylie come up from Sydney to make the sunrise cruise in Newcastle. We were blown away by the knowledge from Dom about the whales. Scott was super helpful in teaching us about how to capture the whales on the cameras and so supportive and encouraging. I can not recommend CoastXP enough for a whale cruise. We will be back 🙌

We had the most amazing day and were lucky enough to see two humpback whales breaching together. Dom our tour guide and boat operator/owner is a lovely informative person. He was able to seek out the most active pod of whales. We also saw a seal and dolphins. The price is very reasonable and two hours was a good length of time. The boat size is ideal. Not too many people on board which helped create a more personal and peaceful atmosphere.

My wife and I travelled from the Central Coast for a whale watching tour with Dom and his mate. They were both really friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We went on the 9:00 AM tour and spent around two hours out at sea. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a clear view of the whales, so we came back feeling a bit disappointed. But Dom didn’t want us to miss out and kindly offered us a second tour at no extra cost. The second trip was absolutely worth it! We saw so many whales, including several jumping out of the water. It was such an amazing experience and we had so much fun. A big thank you to Dom for going the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. If you’re thinking about going whale watching, I highly recommend booking with them!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We went on the whale watching tour with Dom and couldn’t have been more impressed. From the booking process through to returning safely to the mooring, everything was professional, well organised and enjoyable. Dom is a fantastic skipper and guide. His passion for the Port of Newcastle, its history, and the annual whale migration really shone through. He shared so much interesting information throughout the trip, making it both educational and entertaining. Seeing these magnificent whales up close as they made their way north was an unforgettable experience. Combined with the breathtaking views of Newcastle’s coastline, it really makes you appreciate how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world. A huge thank you to Dom for an outstanding afternoon on the water. We highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors – we’ll definitely be back!

It was the most Amazing experience out amongst the whales. The staff were so friendly & knowledgeable & certainly knew what they were doing to find the whales. Cannot recommend Coast XP highly enough

Absolutely incredible experience that we will never forget! We didn’t anticipate to see so many whales, let alone how close they came up! A fun and relaxed tour, our guide was so passionate and stoked to be there and the rest of the team were great! Would highly recommend.

Amazing! It was incredible to see so many whales!! However…the trio would not have been as wonderful were it not for Dominic. Dominic is an operator who clearly has a passion for what he does. He is also very knowledgeable regards the history and highlights of Newcastle’s shore, sharing with us some very interesting information. The boat itself is very comfortable also. All up- I would rate it a solid 10 and will be returning as well as highly recommending CoastEp.
