Perfect first hike in the Cusco area, beautiful lake
Perfect first hike after getting to altitude two days earlier, and the day before starting the Inca Trail. It got our confidence up and was a beautiful site.
The hike up, with nearby Salcantay shining in the sun, was as enjoyable as the reward of seeing Lake Humantay reflect its amazing surroundings. We enjoyed a homemade lunch at the trailhead before the drive back, and because of Valentin's superb planning we had the Lake mostly to ourselves! We passed many many warm tourists of all walks struggling up in the sun as we made our way down the trail.

Incredibly unreal experience
We were left speechless with the beauty that lies within Peru. Our tour guide, Elvis, was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We were with Elvis for 7 days and every day was incredible. We pushed our bodies to hike in extreme altitudes, even then we felt very safe with our guide and the crew. We had gourmet meals from our personal chef, Roger. He whipped up 5 star meals in a tent, in the middle of the mountains. He truly cooks from his heart. Without the services of Valentine’s Pachamama Journeys our trip would not have had the same impact. We walked away with an unforgettable experience and so much more respect for the culture. We were also showed the school that was made for the community by the agency, we’re honored to have contributed by booking with this agency. Trip advisor only allows me to select 1 excursion, but we did 7.
