⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jose was an absolutely incredible guide for our 5-day Salkantay Trek! From the very beginning, he was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. He made sure everyone in our group felt comfortable and safe throughout the trek, always checking on us and encouraging us through the more challenging parts. His knowledge of the mountains, local culture, history, and the Salkantay region made the experience so much more meaningful. He knew exactly when to motivate us, when we needed a break, and how to keep the group in great spirits—even during the toughest climbs. Completing the Salkantay Trek is an experience we will never forget, and Jose was a huge part of what made it so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering this trek. Thank you, Jose, for an unforgettable 5 days and an amazing adventure! 🏔️🥾🇵🇪
My friends and I had an incredible time on the 5 day Salkantay trek with our guide Franz (the andean GOAT)! The mountain views were amazing. Trekking with the group was so much fun, we made new friends and it was a good physical challenge but not too difficult. The lodging along the trail was super nice- real beds, wifi, showers, etc. And the food was delicious. Specifically, Franz made the trip unforgettable. He communicated clearly, gave us encouragement, taught us the history of the area, and made us 100% comfortable during the trek. I highly recommend Franz and Salkantay trekking.

It was a wonderful journey led by the excellent guide Franz (Andean Goat). Very interesting tells about the history of Peru and supports in transitions. The accommodation is comfortable, the food is delicious, the mountains are picturesque. I recommend Franz and this track.
This Salkantay Trek will remain a magnificent experience, shared with superb, kind people. Anthony, our guide, was always very warm, with a touch of humor, and gave us valuable information about the different sites. In short, a great group and guide and lots of memories.
We had such a fantastic trip! The length was perfect and the accommodations were so beautiful and comfortable. Our group was a blast to be with and we created life-long friendships. Nico our tour guide was so fun and friendly and he was very patient with us answering all our questions and getting our group from place to place. Angel our chef cooked us amazing top-notch food. I would highly recommend this experience to any friends and family for the entire experience from the views to the food to the Machu Picchu tour.
The whole experience was great. Carlos was a fantastic guide, he made every moment enjoyable, especially when I was struggling with the high altitude, he was gently so encouraging and supportive. He’s very passionate about sharing the Quechua culture and traditions - I learned so much and enjoyed that he let us participate in the culture. The whole trek experience was very very much worth the price. The accommodations were amazing, especially days 2 and 3. We were fed so well by Wilmer - each meal included at least 4 giant platters plus a delicious soup, we were so shocked that he did so much with the time he had and with how remote each place felt. Watching him speed up to the Salkantay Pass and have hot tea waiting for us was so impressive. The whole team was fantastic and I’m so happy we chose Salkantay Trekking for this trip. Everything went to smoothly even with special requests.
I had the best time hiking with Salkantay Trekking and Carlos the Mountain King. Carlos is professional, but also super funny and personable. I’ll be sad to separate our little familia when we return to Cusco. He did a great job with the educational bursts as well. The food was also great (shoutout Wilmer) and the presentation was beautiful for every meal. It’s super impressive that the chefs were completely the hikes with all of our food and gear so quickly. Overall, an unforgettable experience!
Fantastic trekking experience! With Carlos the Mountain King we all conquered the tough climbs and descents in the altitude and in the jungle. Very professionally run tour, beautiful landscapes and incredible culture. Highly recommended.
