By day due to the heat there have been few peoples about, then in the afternoon the streets come alive. So many stalls popped up selling “everything” , lanterns on the river and a leisurely boat ride as well. So many stalls with a variety of food types. Great to just explore and buy a few things. Bargaining can be fun
Atmospheric evening entertainment with boat, for heart, camera and fun.
It wasn’t a group tour, we overpaid, it wasn’t historical. We made 4 stops had 1-2 dishes a stop but the food was just ok , the best was at the first stop White Rose. Seems like a tourist scam, when you start to notice there are only tourists in the restaurants with their own tour guide. Also, our guide moved fast walked way ahead of us even when crossing street though she realized this once and came back for us. We like upbeat group tours , this is not it . It will be just you and your guide. No real historical info about the town unless we asked. Very disappointed.
There is no better way to experience Ancient Town than a walking Food Tour. Our guide Jackie Diem was fantastic and took us to cultural places where the locals eat that we would have never found ourselves. A must do in Old town!

All very cheerful and festive. The shops, restaurants and street fairs offer everything to satisfy every desire
I liked the different foods and places we went as we were able to sample several different foods that we would never have found on our own. The tour guide however was not engaging at all. She did walk us from place to place, but she never gave us any info regarding where and what we were eating. She was often on her phone. The tour guide next to us was telling them a lot of info regarding the places they were going, so we missed out on that aspect.
Chosen locations very good. However, something seemed to go wrong at the start. We waited around for too long without being offered any food or drink?
What an amazing few hours we had with Jun. She walked us to all the best eating spots. We would never have found these on our own. She gave detailed explanations on the walk to each new spot. An awesome tour experience.
Such a view once you enter this location. Vibrant and beautiful and unique. Colors and beautiful lanterns and various designs lit the atmosphere. Shops shops shops along side many great restaurants. Great food. Difficult to resist shopping here with really nice souvenirs. Do not forget to negotiate the prices. Loved every moment spent here. We were here for 5 nights and went every day.
