We were looking to fill half a day and wanted to get into the countryside to see Penang. The guide TC was informative and had a good sense of humor. He spoke perfect English. We enjoyed his company and interaction. We visited a few places and had a pleasant ride around on flat paths. Nothing to blow the mind but a good insight into country living in Penang. Satisfied customers.
Fun countryside trip with couple hours of bike riding. It’s worth waking up early if you enjoy countryside view. They’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the starting point and bring you back to your hotel. I took this trip on June 17, 2026.
Very relaxed,cycle, beautiful scenery friendly and thoroughly enjoyable. Even got to test loads of different fruit from a tree and local farm .
Easy flat 6 mile route on proper paths with informative guide Eddie through fishing village and countryside on the western side of Penang. Great to get away from Georgetown and see a quieter side of Penang and local life.
Very enjoyable morning ride with our guide Eddie. Pick up from my hotel was on time. Ride was through a scenic rural environment on track or quiet roads which were flat. Eddie was extremely knowledgeable about the local economy and explained trends in Malaysian agriculture and society. Having missed breakfast I appreciated the stop for snacks and drinks. Small group of riders.
This is an excellent tour. The guide is very well informed and provides some very insights into life Penang and Malaysia in general. The bicycles are basic, however more than adequate for the tour.
Great experience. Easy flat cycle through countryside. (No gears provided or needed) Guide was relaxed, chatty and informative. Highly recommend this trip - get out of George Town and see the countryside.
Beautiful experience, which allows you to discover the hinterland in an original and non-invasive way. A real joy to pedal between the forests of palm trees crowded with monkeys. Our guide, TC, was fantastic, very kind and very interesting. The only part we didn’t like was visiting the farm, which is a kind of zoo, with animals locked up in a sordid way. Everything else was great, we were a small group of 8, which was ideal. We highly recommend this activity.
The guide was very informative & friendly. He really knew the area well & timed the outing well around some rain. Definitely recommend this trip - the bike riding was very easy level stuff.
On the western side of Penang Island there was abundant nature and the livelihood of the people living in the area. Recommended for those who want to get through the traffic and congestion on the east side and get an Asian feel. I also learned a lot about Malaysia's agricultural products and economy from my guide, Audie, who explained it well.
