This was a last minute booking to see The David sculpture. As all tickets were sold out, we did the same in Rome for another attraction. This was good, the tour operator had our name on a list and was waiting outside we collected the ticket and skipped right in after maybe 10 minutes. Its a reseller basically but it was good and we manged to get in last minute, we literally booked the evening before. Cost wise it was acceptable.
You book for a set time and they email you to change it. We showed up at the original time and were given a ticket anyway. No audio guide included. Had to pay extra. They charge double what it would cost if you just book well in advance. Lesson learned.
It is not easy to find the Viator representation, I had to ask one of the Accademia staff and he showed me where to look…once we found him it was all good and he gave us an earlier ticket and we joined the queue so all was well. I would just make sure you arrive well before you allocated time as it is so busy in the narrow street. I would suggest that the Rep have some sort of signage to hold up and something eye catching as too many groups and people around especially in high season .

The Accademia was a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend. We got lost a bit finding the meeting point but the guide found us.
You have to meet the same day of the meeting point outside the academia to get your ticket, but they are punctual and worked perfectly.
The process worked exactly as described. We bought tickets for early timed entry the day before, found the employee at the entrance, and was able to get in line and intro the museum quickly.

It is highly recommended to buy tickets in advance, or the lineup will be long. It was a good experience, even though you may not be knowledgeable in art history.
