ジェラルドゥス・ファン・クリーケンが設計し、ジョアン・アントゥネスが完成させたファティマのロザリオの聖母大聖堂は、1928年5月13日に最初の石が祝福され、1953年10月7日に奉納されました。翌年、教皇ピウス12世が大聖堂の称号を与えました。 大聖堂の内部には、ロザリオの秘儀に捧げられた14の側祭壇があります。ステンドグラスの窓とジョアン・デ・ソウザ・アラウージョの絵画には、聖母の生涯とファティマの出現の場面が描かれています。メインの礼拝堂には、福音伝道者と巡礼の場面を描いたモーメジャン・アンド・サンズの作品があります。 翼廊には、2017年にファティマの聖堂で教皇フランシスコによって列聖されたフランシスコとジャシンタ・マルトが埋葬されています。

Maykel (driver) and Felipe (Guide) were both great. We visited Fatima and then Coimbra and learnt far more from Felipe than we would have done if we had travelled via coach on our own which was our original intention. In addition to all the interesting historical stories, Felipe was very helpful with practical information. He was also very considerate with regard to keeping out of the sun as much as possible and also, mindful of the more frail passengers. It was a wonderful experience.

Paulo was our tour guide and the tour was amazing. Paulo was very informative about historical events, buildings, etc. and provided additional color about cities, etc. as we passed them. Coimbra was more interesting than I expected, as I was most interested in the trip to Fatima. Additionally. Paulo provided additional tips for things to do and see during our stay. He is even the best at navigating between tight spaces with the van. It was impressive! I would book another trip with Paulo and Living Tours.
