キラーニーからのDunloe全日ツアーのギャップ

Deros coaches have us a great view of the Killarney national park. Pickup at their corner office at the foot of main st. was a little encumbered by road work, but they worked well around it. First stop was around the east side of the park to get in a two wheeled horse cart - pretty cozy for 4, and the driver standing in back to encourage the horse and answer a few questions. Others walked the 7k. We stopped periodically for views, cars (I don't recommend driving) and for the horses (two of us 4 walked at big uphills to help the horses). Great soup at the lords cottage (cash only) then to the boats through the lakes. Our pilot was very entertaining with ara facts and stories - some big salmon in here! If you walk the 2k back to town from Ross Castle you will have more time to tour the grounds.

A brilliant day out. Paying that bit extra to take the carriage ride through the Gap of Dunloe was a real highlight, with stunning, dramatic scenery around every bend. The boat ride through the loughs was the perfect way to finish, and our guide was really interesting and very knowledgeable, full of stories and local detail that made it come alive. Relaxed, beautiful and great fun from start to finish. I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We got an excellent sunny day for this varied & beautiful tour arranged by Deros Tours in Killarney. A bus took us to Kate Kearney’s Cottage from where we walked through the stunning scenery of the Gap of Dunloe, with mountains on either side & a wee river beside us, which we repeatedly crossed on picturesque arched stone bridges. Most tourists passed us in horse-drawn carriages, bikes or even a few cars but we teamed up with a few others from our bus & had a great walk. The boat trip was perfect through the rivers & loughs, & under bridges, navigated skilfully by the Boat Driver, whose commentary was very informative. We ended at Ross Castle for the drive back to Killarney after another wonderful day in Killarney.

After the bus drops you off at Kate Kearney's Cottage, you have 3 hours and 3 ways to get over the Gap of Dunloe to Lord Brandon's Cottage ( which is next to a snack bar) and the return river boats. The road to the river is full of lovely scenery, sheep, rock outcroppings, and water. If 7 miles (uphill and down) will be a stretch for you to walk, then select renting a bike, or take a horse drawn carriage. For our boat ride from the river next to the snack bar over to Ross Castle we had a wonderful man with his two small sons. He told us the history of the area, and was full of information about the lakes, area hunting, fishing, wildlife, the surrounding mountain range, and even the other small islands inside the 3 lakes. If you are interested in seeing and experiencing a day in the Killarney outdoors, I highly highly recommend this tour.

The Gap of Dunloe tour was amazing. Very good communication with Deros tours. Bus driver was entertaining and fun. The pony carts were wonderful and the boat ride was excellent back to Ross Castle. The tour is a big highlight of our trip so far.

Tour was run very smoothly. Was able to do the walk in just under 2.5 hours while taking a lot of pictures. Boat ride was a blast and very informative.

The tour offered amazing views and a nice boat ride, but be prepared to hike 7 miles if you opt out of the jaunting horse cart (for additional cost). I enjoyed the hike but it is something to keep in mind if you’re unable to hike for 2 1/2 hours.

Had a great time. Our pony man, Paul and boatman, I think his name was Daniel, were excellent. We got poured on, but it didn’t dampen our fun. They really knew what they were doing. The scenery was incredibly beautiful. It was an experience our group will never forget.

We had a great time despite the rain on and off. It was beautiful! We hiked the Gap of Dunloe, which was easily doable in the time allotted. We had a quick lunch afterwards at Brandon's Cottage. The boat trip back to Ross Castle was full of Irish charm with our cheeky captain.
