The Airport is absolutely enormous, came here enroute to & from Thailand. Got to say it’s a maze, when I first arrived it took me almost one hour to walk from one gate to another . Also very poorly signposted. But on the plus the ground/airport staff were very helpful. It’s ultra modern with lots of places to eat & drink. I also tried to buy a bottle of whiskey for a friend on the way only to be told it was too early before my flight to buy it. Probably because it’s an Islamic Airport they won’t serve it because of strict alcohol rules.. would I go via Doha again ? No if their are other alternatives.

The Lounge area was brilliant. We had a long layover in Doha so we were able to pop our hand luggage in a locker and wander around the duty free and come back to the lounge for refreshments and a quiet time. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Facilities were clean and staff were continuously keeping up as travellers came and went. The food selection was great and delicious. The fresh cut fruit was so good after a long flight.

The company I bought through were good but, the service at Hamad was awful. No explanation just “go now”. No differentiation that left was self serve bar, right was manned bar. Go left recommended

This lounge has yo be the worst “paid for” lounge on the planet Why, people hugging seats with a jacket or small bag - stood around 20 mins waiting for a seat, food choices and quality poor, no Coffee cups of and size - had to plead with a staff member to get me a cup. Queued for 20mins to do a No2, eventually had to leave lounge to go to another toilet Only + point, showers wet Ed good and didn’t have to wait Overall, minus 10 out of 10 Next time I’ll find a spot in the terminal if I ever fly Qatar again. No wonder if lost it’s No1 spot Oh and the USB charges on my seat didn’t work either

I debated during an overnight layover whether to stay in one of SleepPods or rest here. The lounge offers reasonably comfortable seating (can get creative for sleep), food and a shower for about half the price of sleep pod. Downside is lack of privacy and lights on all night. It’s found about midway between C gates (C1 and C2) and the big teddy bear. For an 8 hour booking, it is actually 2 4-hour slots. So, will need to recheck in at about the 4 hour point. (It does not need to be exactly 4 hours.). There is only 1 shower each for men & women and first come, first served. I opted to use at my 4 hour break (about 4:30 am) and got in right away. A shower before/after a long flight or a long layover is a must. They would have allowed me to stay for my entire layover (over 9 hours) without asking for it, but instead I elected to leave early to stretch the legs and walk the terminal before next flight.

A great airport clean and easy to move around. Unfortunately like all other airports the prices at the duty free shops are no longer a bargain whatsoever. Very often prices for perfumes, cosmetics or eyewear cost cheaper in stores back in our home countries or on internet. The prices in the Duty Free stores are far to expensive. As usual it is only the unhealthy products like alcohol or tobacco that are cheap. Prices must be reduced for the perfumes, cosmetics, or eyewear please. Thank you.

Will book the same lounge again for layover more than 4 hours. Comfortable lounge chairs and good food.

There are many comfortable seating places located in a good distance between each other. Different food options for breakfast and lunch/dinner. For breakfast there are omelette, sausages, beans, cold cuts and yogurts, assorted cheese, fresh fruits. For dinner there are two soups, 6 mains (vegetarian options are available), cold appetizers and sandwiches. Desserts are available. For drinks you can choose sodas, tea and coffee varieties, wines and beer. There are two halls, the food and drink variety is the same. Family rooms and showers are available on the lounge zone. Good airport wi-fi connection.

After reading reviews I was apprehensive. Booked 30 hours before and fortunately in fine print read re the Q code and response via WhatsApp was quick. Entry to North lounge easy and welcoming. Arriving Tieday 7 pm the lounge had heaps of seats. The hot food was good and Tom Yum soup spot on. No complaints re food quality or wine. More than adequate. Shower was brilliant. All up a very good lounge stop to recharge. Recommended

The Al Maha Lounge was a great place to unwind during my layover. It was easy to find and the check-in process was quick and hassle free. The lounge had a relaxed atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot to take a break before my next flight. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit and there was a good selection of food. I even managed to catch a snooze. It was wonderful!
