Vincent is an excellent tour guide. Pickup was very prompt from the hotel in Seoul and we arrived on time at the place. Vincent is very knowledgeable, shared many interesting history facts, helped me take good pictures and made the whole experience very memorable. I really enjoyed DMZ tour and it was the highlight of my short visit to Seoul area. Thank you Vincent!

Great tour with Vincent that covered so much in one day. Imjingak park, the DMZ sign, the third tunnel, Dora observatory, Unification village, Mt Gamaksan Suspension Bridge, shooting and drop off in a choice of locations in Seoul. Pick up was extremely early (5:30am). Were a family of 4 and were the first pick up. As it was a small group in a minibus there were only a few pickups and we one of the first groups to arrive at Imjingak park. There were plenty of food outlets for breakfast so we had a stop there and a tour round Imjingak Park with Vincent who was very knowledgeable about each area of it. We then got on the bus and drove to the DMZ sign area where the third tunnel is. If you have any severe health problems I wouldn’t advise going down the tunnel but if you’re relatively fit it’s definitely worth doing. You have to put all belongings and phones in a locker as no phones are allowed in the tunnel, then you collect your hard hat at the entrance to the tunnel and off you go! It was really steep, think it was and 11% decline, and was around 350ish metres to get to the bottom. Once at the bottom there’s a flat narrow tunnel that gets you to around 70 metres from the border of North Korea. Be warned if you’re tall though, the tunnel at the bottom is very low and it’s a good job we were given hard hats because all I kept hearing walking through it was my 6 foot 1 inch husband’s head banging off the top of the tunnel! Once you get to the end you turn around and walk back so it can feel a bit claustrophobic but not overly so. The walk back up is tough, you understand why there are benches every few metres! Definitely a good workout! After the tunnel we went to the Dora Observatory. This was fascinating. There’s a big map of what you see before you go out onto the roof, You can use the binoculars to look over to North Korea and we were lucky enough to see between 30-40 people working in a field on the left. You’re not allowed to take any photos looking towards North Korea though. After his we stopped at the unification village, this was really just a stop for shopping if anyone wanted to buy anything and for food and drinks again. Next stop was the suspension bridge. Be warned, it’s a steep climb up to it but totally worth it, the bridge is stunning. Last thing is the shooting which has a sort of mini Madame Toussauds upstairs. We then drove back to Seoul and got dropped off in our chosen area. Overall it was an absolutely fantastic day, really educational but interesting. We were shattered when we got back to Seoul. Quick tip if you’re travelling from England - do this trip soon after you arrive so the jet lag means it’s not as hard to get up at 4:30!
