Great tour which really brought La Rochelle to life. John was engaging, entertaining and insightful - brilliant guide!
Excellent tour of the old town The guide was excellent answered all the questions very well. We were joined by a large group from a cruise ship which the guide handled extremely well. I can not praise the guide enough, an excellent experience. The only issue was that the large car park next to the quay was closed due to summer concerts being held there and we had a little tour around to find a car park. It would have been nice to have been forewarned
John was an excellent tour guide. Very friendly, answered all our questions, and very engaging. It’s the perfect length to get to know the city and its history. Would highly recommend!
John is highly knowlegable tourguide. Tells all interestings historical facts in user-friendly manner. It was interesting, fun and useful, since he also told me about all tips on restaurants and other activities. He also pays special attention to the participants, advising on the weather and recommending to bring water, etc. if its too hot. Many thanks. I will book this tour again when I will come back with my family.

We booked onto a walking tour for our first day in La Rochelle and were very pleased with the experience. John is a friendly and knowledgable host and the walk is packed with interesting information. We came away feeling that the tour was a great way to learn all about the city’s history, but also a great way of finding out recommendations for how to spend the rest of our time in the city. John was such an informative guide that we ended up booking onto a food tour for the following day - another experience we’d give a 5* review too. The tour is definitely one to give a go, thanks John!

My wife and I plus our small dog went on the walking tour of La Rochelle and it was absolutely brilliant. Our guide John was superb and had an in-depth knowledge of the history of La Rochelle which made everything come to life. I thoroughly recommend John and Discover La Rochelle. We are already planning a return trip to La Rochelle and really want to go on the Discovery Food Tour which the company also offer.
