We spent an exceptional day with Normandy Insiders, as a family, with three children. And when children come back amazed and touched by a day dedicated to the memory of the Second World War, something happened. The tour took us to the beaches of Omaha and Gold, to the British memorial, and to the remains of the artificial ports of Arromanches. For the visit to Bayeux and its beautiful alleyways, we had the privilege of riding in an old vintage Dodge military — a magical moment, especially for the children, who loved it. What makes the difference with a classic tour is the human quality of the guide. Historical knowledge is impeccable, but never professorial. Children understand, in their own way, what these roads saw 80 years ago. I recommend this experience without any reservations, to all those who want to understand the D-Day landings other than through a screen or an explanatory panel — and especially to families. Thank you to the entire Normandy Insiders team.

This was by far one of the best tours we've ever done. If you really want to get to know Normandy – its history, landscape and taste – you have to do this tour. Travelling in a Range Rover Classic to the most important D-Day sites, led by Mathieu, who knows not only the places, but also the stories and the people behind them. His storytelling is touching, lively and full of passion – you can feel how much he loves Normandy. A special highlight was the culinary stop with local oysters, cheese and cider – simply delicious!
