We got up at 4:45 am to meet the tour guide and driver for our excursion to Mont St Michel and Normandy. The driver met us, but the tour guide never showed up. Amigo Tours Spain cancelled the tour and forgot to notify us and Viator.

Daniela was very sweet and we enjoyed the trip very much. It was moving and breathtaking.

Daniela was an amazing guide! It was such a great tour. She kept us on schedule, her instructions were clear and she had fun stories! I highly recommend this tour!

This was a fantastic tour! The bus ride to and from was smooth, with a stop in between to get something quick to eat. Daniela was very knowledgeable and kind, making sure none of our group was left behind. You can sense the passion for her work. She did a great job at immersing us into the specific time frames of each location

Great experience! The bus was nice and so was the drive. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. They even waited for us when we were stuck in traffic! I’m glad we didn’t miss out.

DO NOT BOOK with Amigo Tours in Paris. They cancelled my Normandy/Saint Michel Day trip on short notice due to “logistical issues” and offered a spot the NEXT week. I don’t know about you, but when I travel to another country for vacation I don’t have an open schedule spanning weeks. Because of their last minute cancellation I was unable to rebook with another company and did not get to go to Normandy or Saint Michele at all. I had a special memento from my grandfather’s WWII service that was supposed to go to Normandy. Short of a death or serious illness or an act of God, I expect these tour companies to have the support, organization, and professionalism to make tours happen as booked. If not, it evidences a lack of respect for your time and money. Citing a vague “logistical issue” and saying “sorry for the inconvenience” as if it were merely an inconvenience is not acceptable or professional. I travel regularly and rarely have negative experiences. But I would never use this company again and I wounds not recommend them.

Overall, it was a nice trip. We somehow missed seeing our guide at the hotel and we were worried we would miss the bus. We called and Daniella found us. It was about 3 hours to get to Normandy. Unfortunately, the weather was windy and rainy so everyone spent a bit less time at the 2 stops, which were a memorial and German bunkers. Then it was on to Mont St.-Michel. I would have liked to also visit one of the cemeteries. The island and cathedral were very scenic and the weather was better. There we had about 2 1/2 hours. That was just enough time to get to the top, see the cathedral , head down and grab a bite to eat. It was a long day with several hours spent on the bus, but it was a worthwhile trip. Daniella and the bus driver were great. If you want more WWII history it may be better to go to the area and stay a night or 2.
