AMAZING!! We did a custom tour in the Riesling region. Even though we own a winery, we learned volumes from our expert guide. Everything was flawless with some amazing surprises. Tour started steeped in history at a monastery dating back to the 1100’s and ended with tastings at a 4th generation winery. Highly recommend Bottle Stops.

Jerome is amazing. We had 6 terrific days with Jerome in April 2026. Each day featured a different wine region and two of the 6 days were "tour-transfer days" where he picked us (and our luggage) up in one city and, after a beautiful day of tasting, dropped us off at our next city. Jerome is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. The 3 of us were never bored. He also invited us to his very interesting wine cave in Mainz and facilitated a stop in Worms so we could view the cathedral there. We travel in Europe for 4 months every year and these wine days with Jerome were some of our very favorite days. Our private wine tour in the Rheingau with Jérôme of Bottlestops was one of the highlights of our trip to Germany. From the very beginning, he was professional, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful in helping curate a custom itinerary around some of our dream wineries to visit. Thanks to Jérôme, we enjoyed unforgettable visits to Eva Fricke, Künstler, Georg Breuer, and a surprise stop at Freiherr zu Knyphausen. The entire day felt completely personalized to our interests and pace, and visiting these incredible wineries with Jérôme made for such a memorable experience. We also had a fun and delicious lunch stop in Eltville, which was such a charming way to experience another beautiful Rheingau town during the day. What I also loved was the pre-trip planning with him over WhatsApp. It was clear he genuinely cared about creating the best possible experience for us, not just running a standard tour. Throughout the day, he shared fascinating history and insight about the Rheingau while also being warm, engaging, and on top of it, wonderful company. His van was immaculate and comfortable, and every detail felt seamless. We enjoyed our time with him so much that we hired him again the following day for transportation to Bernkastel-Kues. We would highly recommend Jérôme and Bottlestops to anyone looking for a truly curated wine experience in Germany — whether private or group tours. Exceptional service, incredible wineries, and unforgettable memories. The wine tour with Jerome Hainz was a real highlight – you could immediately feel his deep knowledge and passion for the subject. With a lot of enthusiasm, he led us to attractive destinations and contacts at the wineries in the Rheinhessen region. The tastings were excellently selected and of high quality, each sample was clearly explained. Lunch in a quaint inn was also an experience, as regional cuisine came on the table that we otherwise could not have tested. In bright weather we enjoyed not only the wines, but also the magnificent scenery. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!
