We have used Viator for many of our travel tours. This has been the worst! ZERO stars. Went to meeting point only to have a manager have to set us up as we signed up for self guide. Then were told to download the guide. Extremely hard to follow. Would have been great to have directions on where to start. If you paused it started over. All 3 of us ending up NOT using app. We surely missed so much information about the history, the times , etc. what a disaster and disappointment. Who do I contact for a refund!

Show me Italy is a complete scam! These guys are not reputable!!They have no regard for your hard earned money no matter how early or often you call or message them. DO NOT BOOK with these scammers! Garbage people! Never responded to my numerous attempts to cancel DAYS in advance! Trip was cancelled and they kept my hard earned money!!! No good!

I enjoyed this. The meeting details are accurate and a huge thank you to the young man who helped me get tickets in WhatsApp. I don’t use them at app often so I wasn’t familiar

It was a fabulous experience!! They will let you in right at your time and up to 15 minutes before your scheduled time but not before. Because the line was long we took the opportunity to go to the Roman Forum and Pallanyine Hill first thing the next morning since you can go the day before or the day after your Coluseum booking.

Was a great experienced at the colosseum in Roma I recommended to anyone want to live a unforgivers experienced, the only downside was the heat try to avoid summer is very very hot, but was good.

The operator sent me a place to meet them. When I got to the Colosseum, they sent me to a separate place. When I got to the place to meet them, they told me I didn’t have to meet them there and sent me back to the Colosseum. And it was quite inconvenient. And I have to say the staff at the Colosseum, which I have been to numerous times was so rude. It was very disappointed. I’ve never had an experience like that before. Very sad.

We spent ages in 39degree heat looking for the place to collect our tickets. The map only took you near the place. There was a man with a bike and a bag. No signage for Trip advisor. So very stressful!

Disappointing Experience — Not Appropriate for Older Travelers Without a Clear Warning I have taken six Viator tours, and I have genuinely loved the others, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I was traveling with my 80-year-old parents as part of a very special trip celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday. Unfortunately, this tour was far more strenuous than we anticipated. We walked for approximately 10 minutes before my parents needed to stop. The route was quite hilly, and combined with the heat, it was simply too much for them. I strongly believe the tour company should have a clear disclaimer stating that this tour involves significant walking, hills, and strenuous activity, particularly in hot weather. I have run marathons myself, and even I found the walking difficult in the heat. I can only imagine how challenging it was for my 80-year-old parents. Finding the meeting point was also unnecessarily chaotic and stressful. More importantly, once the guide realized that my parents were struggling, I wish he had shown more concern and offered options for abbreviating the tour or helping us find a reasonable alternative. The guide was knowledgeable, but he seemed much more focused on completing the scheduled tour than on adapting to the needs of our group. I understand that the guide has a schedule to maintain, but I would have appreciated some compassion and flexibility given the circumstances. This was a major family trip and a milestone birthday celebration for my mother, and unfortunately, this experience put a real damper on what was otherwise a wonderful trip. I generally give people and companies the benefit of the doubt, and I have had very positive experiences with Viator in the past. That is why I am particularly disappointed by this experience. I am requesting a refund. At a minimum, I strongly encourage the tour operator to add a prominent disclaimer explaining the amount of walking, hills, and physical exertion involved, especially during hot weather, so that travelers can make an informed decision about whether this tour is appropriate for themselves and their families. This tour was through Show Me Italy.

The local tour operators like 'Show me Italy' buy up all of the official tickets then slap additional fees on top of them, meaning you have no choice to but to buy from them at the higher price. The tour operator adds absolutely no extra value, other than wasting your time by saying we have to meet them down the road, line up up for for ages until we could speak to them, only to then say we have to go line up at the Colosseum and we're on our own, which made us late to getting in. Take note that if you do not have an in-person Guided tour, then just go straight to the Colosseum, don't waste your time meeting them first as its pointless. Anyway, we got to see the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman forum which is what we came for and it was all very interesting, so we can tick that off the bucket list now.

Great self guided tour, amazing landmark to visit. Very hot in this weather but fascinating to learn about the history.
