We normally do go inside the fortune cookie factory, but unfortunately there was an unusually long line that day, so your guide made the decision to keep the tour moving rather than have everyone spend a lot of time waiting. Chinatown has so much history right in front of you—in its streets, buildings, alleyways, temples, and businesses—and that should be part of how the story is told, rather than ever feeling like a classroom presentation.
