Ilir was our guide to Berat on a full day tour from Terana. Because it was a very hot day he rearranged the hours of the trip to make it more comfortable. He is highly knowledgeable about the history and customs and has a n entertaining and pleasant personality which is impressed when spending so many hours together.

If you want to immerse yourself in Albanian history and culture in a short amount of time, I highly recommend booking with Ilir Gramo. I spent two full days with him visiting Berat and Shkodër and was blown away by his depth of knowledge. He has a way of sharing the country's complex history and culture that is incredibly engaging and insightful. Ilir is also wonderfully flexible and friendly. He is happy to move at your pace, and for those who enjoy it, he will ensure there is plenty of time to shop for local crafts and souvenirs. During our group tour to Berat, there were only two of us, and despite us being quite camera-shy and 'unphotogenic,' he managed to capture many fantastic photos of us. He is an excellent tour guide, photographer and a true professional. Whether you are looking to see the capital or the surrounding cities, Ilir is the perfect guide.
