Was a great experience had different tequilas to try before you go to the cenote very good tasting smooth and flavorful especially for the price! After that we went at a through the muddy terrain and stopped for the cenote and were given the chance to dive in if we wanted there was also small fish, turtles, and bats that lived there but nothing to be worried about as we did the dive 10/10.
We had such a great experience with Flamingos Tours that we came back and did the Double ATV Tour and Cenote again just two weeks later! We were just as impressed the second time as we were the first. Gabriel was our tour guide again, and he was amazing! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes the entire experience fun from beginning to end. It was great to have him as our guide for a second time, and once again, he did not disappoint. The ATV ride was a lot of fun, and Cenote was beautiful. The entire experience was enjoyable, well organized, and absolutely worth doing again. If we return to the area, we would definitely book with Flamingos Tours again—and we would be very happy to have Gabriel as our guide for a third time! Highly recommend!

This is a perfect adventure for cruisers who only have a short amount of time before returning to the port. We rode ATVs through the village, experienced tequila tasting, and souvenir shopping. To top it off, we learned a bit about the Mayans and Cinco de Mayo. The cenote was neat, too. Some other travelers jumped into it. Our tour guide "Grandpa" was awesome. We were dropped off at the port at the end of our tour.
The tour guide and ATV portion of this excursion were excellent. We had a great time and honestly would have loved to spend more time riding the ATVs. However, the cenote portion of the excursion left us feeling a little grossed out. Looking back, I realize they tried to set expectations from the beginning. They explained that because the water wasn’t aerated or circulating, it was essentially stagnant, but they assured us that it was still clean and safe to swim in. They also mentioned that the sulfur smell was caused by the water sitting. When we arrived, the smell was definitely the first thing that hit us. Once we went downstairs to the pool, I noticed all of the bats. At first, I actually thought they were pretty cool. Then I started noticing the bat droppings falling into the water. At that point, all I could think was that we were basically being asked to swim in a giant bat toilet. If there had been some type of current or circulation in the water, I probably wouldn’t have been as bothered by it. But knowing the water was stagnant while watching bat droppings fall directly into it made the idea of swimming pretty unappealing. Overall, we really enjoyed the tour guide and ATV experience, but the cenote portion was definitely not for us.
We had fun.. I wish we'd had a little more instruction of how to find the guy we were supposed to meet. (On Carnival go all the way to the back/out of the port where the taxis pick up, turn to LEFT and walk towards the big white condo building that says like ?CCI or something similar on it). There is an almost empty shopping plaza on the right (you'll go past the old guitar from the closed Hard Rock Cafe) and keep walking another block to a Sunglass store on your right. (The Marti store). The guide met us there-Super helpful, trustworthy. She even text us when we weren't there early. You do have to pay an additional $20/person to get into the cenote area when you arrive (she can take cards with tap to pay or cash). They provided helmets/goggles. You do need cash to tip your guide (we didn't have cash but he let us tap to pay again). The whisky tasting part wasn't really for us, I wish we had been able to spend that time exploring the church nearby. There wasn't food tho! And it lasted 3 hours so I was wishing we'd took snacks. **You will walk right past a 7/11 gas station on your way, so I recommend picking up snacks there! We were able to put our backpacks on the handlebars of the 4wheeler and wear your swimsuit for the quick swim in the cenote! (No time to change) It was a great excursion! My 14 yr old was able to drive-I didn't hear of any restrictions for drivers, etc. It felt very safe-was a fun afternoon! We wore mask for the dust but they weren't really necessary
The walk to the meeting point past the Plaza Royal Village wasn’t so bad if it wasn’t for the heat. The tour operator were nice enough to call me and guide me through the streets to meeting point , as I was running few minutes late. Our guide was amazing, he showed us the cenote and was extremely patient with us as we were taking photos. The tequila museum was interesting, alcoholics would appreciate this stop. After our guide waited for us to check out the local shops at the museum. I showed him a picture I wanted to get on the ATV , he even offered to bring out a cleaner ATV and parked it for us in front of the office area for numerous pictures.
Miguel was an amazing guide! He was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.
Gabriel was amazing!!! This was wonderful for this 5-person family. Safe but not obnoxiously so. We loved it!
