Guide Alonso is AMAZING!!! Highly recommend him! He went above and beyond. Gave us history of the Mayan culture and the village we were in and pointed out so many cool things while riding ATV. However, do not go to Jade Cavern! Its disgusting!!!! Smelled like a literal sewer and had bat poop everywhere. My child jumped in and immediately smelled like a nasty porta potty. We had to throw away everything she was wearing. I have been to Mexico many times and swam in several beautiful, clean cenotes. This one was FAR from that and extremely disappointing. I was excited to share the experience with my family who has never been to one and left feeling sad because it was so disgusting. You expect to get dirt on the ATVs. You do not expect to be jumping in sewer water and smelling nasty. The ATV portion was fun! However be aware that some of the ATVs need maintenance in the worst way. I will say the authentic food place in the town we went to had the most amazing food!!!! Definitely dont leave without grabbing a taco or 3 ans at least 3 empanadas lol

Since your group enjoyed a smooth, continuous ride with no breakdowns, stops, or mechanical complaints during the tour, I want to reassure you that our fleet was operating properly and in good condition for your fun adventure! I guess this is the reason why you mentioned atvs were fun, because the atvs are in really good conditions. Jade Caverns: Jade Caverns is a natural, intact jungle sinkhole with flowing natural water that is completely clean and free of sewage or bat droppings. Because it is an untouched cave ecosystem home to harmless fruit bats, factors like water tint, mineral smell, or organic leaf matter can vary depending on weather and rainfall, but the water itself is natural and clean.
