The drive from Christchurch was comfortable, and our guide kept us entertained with stories about New Zealand’s history, culture, and wildlife. Arthur’s Pass was simply breathtaking — towering peaks, waterfalls, and even a sighting of a kea parrot. Castle Hills was equally magical, with massive limestone rock formations that made it feel like stepping into another world. The landscapes were out of this world — truly the stuff of postcards. Castle Hills was my favorite stop; climbing around the rocks was so much fun.
