Amazing photoshoot with the most amazing professional team. We enjoyed our time in Kyoto and this photoshoot experience was the highlight of our trip. Special thanks to our photographer Satsuki who also helped answering all my questions on WhatsApp prior to booking, hair and makeup artist Eriko, kimono dressing specialist Shinobu, and photo editor Mr.Fukuda.

The experience is as memorable as the pictures taken. They offer different plans to choose with additional options. The place is good, the staff are very accommodating. It was fun!

An amazing place for trying on kimonos in Kyoto! Satsuki is a very sweet and kind photographer who helped me and my boyfriend pose while creating amazing pictures to remember our trip to Kyoto. All staff members showed great hospitality for helping me get dressed and make up. It was a beautiful experience to see the photos come to life

This photoshoot in Kyoto became one of the most special memories of our trip. We truly loved everything — the beautiful kimono outfits, the studio atmosphere, and the outdoor session during cherry blossom season. The entire team was incredibly kind, professional, and supportive. What touched us the most was how dedicated everyone was. The team truly gave their all and made us feel comfortable and special throughout the whole experience. Even with nonstop rain during the outdoor session, they managed to create so many wonderful moments and amazing photos. We honestly didn’t expect to receive so many great shots despite the weather. The photos and videos exceeded all our expectations and captured memories we will treasure forever. 100 out of 10 — highly recommended!

Visiting Osaka, first trip to Japan and decided to take a day trip to Kyoto. Signed up for the studio photo shoot and add on outdoor option. I’m not someone that loves getting pictures taken or is all that photogenic but this seemed like such a special keepsake for my visit. The team were pros and got me relaxed and smiling (even laughing sometimes!) and my pictures came out beautifully. The process of them getting you picture ready was worth the experience by itself!! Absolutely recommend this experience and this photo team in particular…you will not regret it!!

This is a 💯 must do in Kyoto, my son rated the kimono photo shoot experience as his #1 favorite experience of Kyoto, the photographers made him very comfortable, he got to pic his own kimono and he savored feeling like a samurai warrior by using the 🗡️ as a prop, the pictures are videos were beyond stunning and the best value of 💵 i ever spent on a photoshoot 🙌. We got inside photoshoot and outside during cherry blossom season ( April 2026). One thing to note is you have to download the pics on a laptop because the zip file is too large to load on the phone. I have a MacBook and iPhone so for me the process was seamless once I figured it out.

We had an amazing experience for this photoshoot with Satsuki. We were able to book this using our chase sapphire reserve points. The ad from viator didn’t look great, but when we saw photos from some of the reviewers we knew that’s what we wanted. The photoshoot was very professional. One person to dress us in the layers and layers of high quality Kimonos. Satsuki as photographer and her assistant helping. The studio itself was beautiful and located right in the heart of gion. The sign on their studio says “petit wedding”. We loved the photos and everything felt high quality. Some tips for future visitors. Because we booked through Chase she had trouble contacting us before hand. She tried WhatsApp and viator but couldn’t reach my wife. So be on the lookout for messages so that she can get your preferences for hairstyle etc beforehand. Also the app wouldn’t let us book for our teenage son, for some reason the options are child up to age 12 then adult starting at age 20 then it asks for passport verification. So we had to book 3 people instead of 4 and just paid the difference later which wasn’t a problem. Also it says 1.5hrs but that’s for each person so if you want the full experience you should think 4-6 hours so you are not rushed and can do outdoor shots also. We are still very happy with our photos and definitely recommend you try them!!
