Great experience. The gentleman that checked us in was very welcoming NY, friendly and helpful. The wagon tour and guide and driver were great! The tour guide in the main house was fantastic and we loved the owners talk, the enslaved talk and the Gullah presentation. We arrived as the gates opened at 9 and caught our Lyft at 12:30 and we did not miss a thing. The cafe is pricey but when you need water, you pay what you have too. We loved everything about our visit to Boone Hall. Our Lyft from Charleston was $28 but coming back it was $40 and I was a little surprised about the pricing difference but that is more informational, not a concern.

Disappointed
The plantation is beautiful! The Gullah talk was interesting. The house was disappointing. We probably wouldn't have taken the tour if we had known the house was built in 1936 and we would only be able to view 4 rooms.

Worth it
Beautifully kept, very well organized and not expensive. Very nice and professional staff, beautiful oak trees, farm and horses

A great half or full day trip!
Great place to learn about the history of plantation life, the owners of the property and the wildlife of the area! You could easily make this a full day as they have the Butterfly Cafe with food and beverages. It’s best to get there early and participate in the outdoor presentations first, then move to the indoor house tour and visitor center museum.

great value
The house tour and farm tour are excellent. You learn so much about the property and its many owners through history. Stay for the Gullah talk and tour the slave cabins which are original. The history of slavery is done very well. If you are a fan of North and South and The Notebook, there are behind the scenes videos which are wonderful. Plan on being there for 3 hours to do it all.

Plantation experience
Excellent and beautiful. Wonderful guides in the house, wagon tour and stables. Very educational. Plan for at least 2-4 hours.

Surprisingly good
Surprisingly good tour ...it exceeded my expectations . Charming place with a Grand Entrance
I learned a lot about mans inhumanity to humanity .
The tranquil and serene atmosphere was perfect. However what it is today is important because for me the serene surroundings could not overcome the constant reminder and evidence of what happened here

Great place to visit
Great, educational, beautiful visit to Boone Hall Plantation. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The place is very well maintained. Lots of different possible activities allow you to pursue things of most interest to you. The gardens are beautiful.
