I spent 8 nights and 9 days in Bhutan with OMSHA Travel on their “Hiking on the Cloud” itinerary, and it became one of the most memorable trips I have ever had. I wanted to experience Bhutan not only by visiting famous sites, but by walking through its mountains, forests, monasteries and villages. This itinerary was exactly what I had hoped for. Over nine days, I hiked almost every day, from the high-altitude trails above Thimphu and the forests of Phobjikha to Bumdra Camp at around 3,800 meters, before descending to the famous Tiger’s Nest. What made the journey truly special were the people who accompanied me. My guide, Sonam, hiked every trail with me throughout the trip. She was knowledgeable, patient, dependable and always attentive to my condition. More than anything, she made the journey feel personal rather than simply guided. By the end of the trip, it felt much more like travelling with a friend. My driver, Tashi, was also wonderful. Bhutan’s roads can be narrow, winding and difficult, especially after heavy rain, but I always felt completely safe with him. He was calm, careful and kind throughout the entire journey. The trip was very well organized, from visa arrangements and flights to accommodation, transportation and daily logistics. The itinerary was also handled flexibly, which is especially important on a hiking-focused trip where weather, altitude and physical condition can change from day to day. Bhutan itself was incredibly beautiful, but what I will probably remember longest is the kindness of the people I met along the way. My sincere thanks to Sonam and Tashi for sharing these unforgettable nine days with me, and to OMSHA Travel for making the journey possible. If you enjoy hiking and want to experience Bhutan beyond the usual sightseeing routes, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Hiking on the Cloud itinerary. I arrived in Bhutan as a traveller, but left feeling that Sonam and Tashi had become my first Bhutanese charos—friends.

We did a 7 day/6 night special interest trekking trip of Bhutan and OMSHA was an exceptional experience. Even before we arrived, the agency made us feel confident that we were in good hands and did not need to worry about a thing. They communicated proactively to file the travel permit on our behalf, ask about our travel preferences and showed a ton of flexibility on the itinerary. Once we got there, our guide Lhazin Dorji and our driver Tashi Jamtsho picked us up without issue despite the flight being delayed, and the next week was an amazing adventure. Our guide, Lhazin Dorji, was extremely knowledgable about the history and religion of Bhutan and took the time to explain not just all the sites but any time we had any questions. He was also very kind and courteous, always making sure everything was sorted out, from hotel room check-ins to serving us meals and even carrying our water up the mountain for the Bumdra trek (to 4000m). He was very easy to talk to and taught us a lot about the spirit of Bhutan. He made sure we never felt rushed even though we saw a lot of fortresses, temples, cultural sites (where we did archery and saw a traditional dance), enjoyed local food, and visited places in and around Paro, Thimphu and Punakha. I'm grateful we had a such a knowledgable and passionate guide for our trip. Our driver Tashi was very capable and made sure we always felt safe even through winding mountain roads. He is a very smooth driver and also went above and beyond telling us about his experiences. He was also extremely kind and was a big part in making sure our trip was amazing. The day long hikes up to the Bumdrak campsite at 4000m and down to Tiger's nest monastery, as well as the Punakha Dzong fortress were the biggest highlights but the rest of the days were also filled with wonder: from seeing the national animal of Bhutan (Takin preserve), the massive Buddha Dordenma statue, the many stupas and temples we had to pleasure of visiting, and learning about the history and life in Bhutan from our guide was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The hotels were really good as well, with great views, and the hospitality shown by our driver and guide were truly outstanding. A stress-free and extremely well executed trip. When I come back to Bhutan, I'll be going with OMSHA Travel again.

We stayed at Amari Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand last March 7, 2024 till March 10,2024. All the hotel staff were very helpful. As we are preparing to check out, Prang has been helpful again to us because she favilitated our check out from Amari Hotel. When we had some difficulty with our mobile phone specially on internet connectivity, Cream, Fah, extended her time and effort to assist us with our needs. She even gave us cold water to refresh us. Cream, Fah had a pleasingbpersonality also. Over all, our experience in Amria Hotel Bangkok was worthwhile. We highly recommend tourists to consider the hotel for their vacation.
