Skylar is a great guide for this food tour. Go very hungry because you taste so much good Taiwanese food. The tour is well paced. The day we went was very hot and humid and Skylar took us in to air conditioned restaurants to try the food; a welcome relief.

Good tour with a wide variety of foods - would recommend splitting whatever you get bc I was too full by the end to even try the dessert. I wouldn’t remove anything on it though!! Skyler is fun and full of joy - she made the journey with strangers fun. It’s a great way to start your time in Taipei.

OMG! We are stuffed... and we skipped lunch in order to have room. We easily met Skyler in the appointed stop and proceeded with 5 other folks for 8 stops of yummy foods that were new to us and welcomed by our palate. I never would have thought that layers of seasoned crispy tofu would be one of my favorites, but it was! The garlic and crispy chicken bites were a nearly a tie. Then, there was the Boba tea, and several other delicious specialties. This was our first day in Taiwan and this was a perfect way to have a meal, learn about Taiwanese food, and see a bit of the town. You'll love this tour, especially if you have Skyler as your guide!

I had previous difficulty in going to night markets and ordering basic street food since I am an English speaker, which is why I bought this experience. Julie (our tour guide) was very nice, helpful, and informative. She explained the history of each food/drink item and menu/shop that offers them. She took our orders at each location, and ordered everything herself (with her recommendation). All the shops/street food vendors were within decent walking distance of each other. Julie took us on a wonderful food tour filled with street food and dessert/drinks. Each spot chosen was perfect. By the last stop, everyone was full. By buying the experience through TripAdvisor, I did not have to offer any more cash for each street food vendor. All food/drink prices are included in buying the tour/experience. Thank you Julie!

Julie is a very knowledgeable tour guide, and speaks phenomenal English tee growing up in the US. The tour had many sweets and we were still a bit peckish afterwards. With that said, we had the best bao we’ve ever had and really enjoyed the surprise store we visited for some authentic Taiwanese dessert.
