Lovely walking tour with tastes of varieties of food at multiple restaurants and shops. Food was delicious and our guide, Beth was very entertaining with history of the city. She certainly made the experience fun and informative.
Perry was an amazing tour guide. He was fun and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our afternoon with him. The food on the tour was also great. It was a great selection of local/southern eats.
Great taste of the south. Our guide was so informative and fun. We learned a lot. It helped us get acclimated to Charleston. Loved the recommendations, too.
Sydney was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the food we had and the history of Charleston. I highly recommend Sydney and the tour when visting the area. Tim E
We truly enjoyed our Brunch Food Walking Tour. We learned so much through our guide John. He walked us through historic areas of Charleston while enjoying the culture and food of the area. John was very knowledgeable and engaging. We enjoyed classic low country foods such as Shrimp and Grits, Green Tomatoes, and Pimento Cheese. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Charleston.
We loved having you with us and sharing a little of the city together. Secret Food Tours is always a chance to discover something new and make time for good company. We hope you’ll join us again whenever you’re back in town!
Food was excellent and Charlotte was a fun guide, explaining many historical references of the city’s food and architecture. We love this as a way to eat good food and engage in a fun walking tour.
We enjoyed having you with us for a closer look at the city. Secret Food Tours is meant to feel like time well spent, with room to explore and take it all in. Thanks for being part of our day!
Food tour was awesome. Food was yummy. Joe was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and made the experience so much fun.
We’re grateful we could share a little of the city with you! Having you join Secret Food Tours made the experience a shared one, not just another stop on an itinerary. We hope you had a memorable time with us.
Perry was such a great guide! Very knowledgeable and made it fun. Would highly recommend booking a tour!
Thanks for coming out with Secret Food Tours! We appreciate you sharing your experience and giving the team a reason to smile. You’re welcome to join us again whenever you’re nearby.
Our guide, Charlotte, was very welcoming and energetic. The food, however, was nothing special. Two of the stops were places that give free samples already. The others were ok, but not worth the price of the tour. It would have been cheaper to just go to the touristy restaurants and order their signature dishes. Or skip altogether and spend the money on nicer restaurants, of which there are plenty in Charleston. If you are a foodie, I would skip this tour.
Hi Linda, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear that Charlotte made you feel welcome and brought such great energy to your tour. We equally appreciate your perspective on the food and understand that every guest has their own expectations when it comes to a food tour. We thoughtfully curate our tours to showcase the local food scene and give guests a taste of the city's culinary character. Your feedback is valuable as we continue to refine the experience and make each tour memorable for our guests. We'd love to welcome you back on another Secret Food Tour in the future and hopefully offer an experience that better matches your tastes and expectations.
Our guide Beth was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of food which was excellent. However, the she crab soup which I was looking forward to was a huge disappointment. It was just a small plastic sample container of white broth with microscopic pieces of vegetables and crab that were so small u could hardly taste them. I expected large pieces of crab. It was terrible. Most guests felt the same as most hardly ate any of it. The restaurant should be embarrassed! My only other issue is each stop was so close together you had no chance to digest food and have a little break before next food stop which meant you were just too full to really enjoy the food. Most food tours I have been on you walked much more between stops and got to rest bit before next stop and learned more about the area. Beth was great but tour disappointing as food stops way too close together. Beth gets a 5 and food portion 2 because stops way too close together
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're delighted to hear that Beth made such a positive impression with her knowledge and friendly approach, and that you enjoyed the food throughout the tour. Our tours are thoughtfully curated to showcase the best of the local food scene, with portions and stops planned to give guests a chance to enjoy a variety of flavors without feeling too full too early in the experience. Still, we do appreciate your perspective on the pacing and spacing between stops, as feedback like yours helps us continue refining the experience for our guests. We hope you'll join us again on another food tour and have the opportunity to enjoy more of what the local culinary scene has to offer!
